This podcast is well conceived, written, and produced. I like the opening stories, and the idea of having a romance novel theme for each episode is really good. However, over time, I found my interest waning. I think I would have stayed subscribed if this were a genre of literature that I read regularly, or if there were more analysis of the genre.

I appreciated how much thought you gave and appreciation you have for Jane Eyre but listening to your struggles each week of trying to fathom Charlotte Bronte's 'intentions and motivations' each week with never mentioning her relationship with her married professor (and his wife) which became the deepest joy and source of pain in her adult life in mind-boggling to me. You never discuss the truly powerful relationship with her clergyman father, his temporary loss of sight, her brother's heartbreaking affair and alcoholism. To me, this brilliant book can be seen as a love letter to Professor Heger as well an attempt to impress him with her talent and a way to get some revenge. It is also a religious conversation for her domineering father.
