Good episode? Give it some love!
Thank you for tuning in on the third season of the Hot but Bothered podcast. The topic for this season is Dysfunctional Families. Proverbs 4:23 states, "Guard your heart with all diligence, for out of it flows the issues of life." We all have issues of life that can cause dysfunctional behaviors, if we allow it to overtake us. Every episode in this season, we will be discussing a different type of dysfunction.

On this episode, we are talking about dysfunction in the first family of the Bible - Adam, Eve, Cain, and Abel. Why are we discussing this? Because we want to encourage others to get help and deal with their issues of life before it overtakes them. Also, some people may not know why they act the way they do and don't know how to get out of the wilderness. This is a platform to have open discussions about issues that are being swept under the rug and it's time out for all that. For every why, there is a how.

Does dysfunctional mean you’re a bad person? No. It means you can change. It means you can be the change you want and desire to see. But you have to believe you can. You have to be willing to get rid of the dysfunction that is happening in your life. You can be transformed by changing your thinking, but it is entirely up to you to change your own mind. No one can do that for you. At the end of the day, you are the one to make the choice to choose which you will yield to; the will of God or your own will. You can’t choose them both at same time. Light doesn’t coexist with darkness. Holy doesn’t coexist with dysfunction. It’s one or the other.

On another note, if you are an avid reader of Christian Fiction books, may I suggest the eBook, Anything She Says. It can be purchased at any online bookstore for 99 cents. Paperbacks are also available. Also, if you have a story to tell, email us at [email protected]  Your name will not be broadcast.
