For a brand new podcast this is hitting all the right marks right out of the gate. Really loving how the story is slowly unfolding over each episode. This needs to be something you listen to, and I can not wait to see how things progress over this first season.
This show feels original, fresh and it´s a really great idea to let the ghosts give inside knowledge to Jon. It ads another level to the story, gives a new perspective and drives the story forward. The writing is clever and leaves me time to reflect. The show deals with important issues and has a distinct voice. Great acting and production makes it a pleasure to listen to. There are some explicit details but it never gets too much. I 'm looking forward to follow where it goes.
This story line gives me the best of both worlds. Paranormal & true crime feels. Season one was great. I'm so ready for season 2!
Just started it but wow this is so good! Can't wait to get deeper into the show!
An ingenious approach to the crime procedural. Don't just listen once.
I enjoy the tales inside each episode and how they are integrating into the overarching show mythology.
The stories are interesting and well-told. Respectful and fun.
Its the amalgamation of Bones, House, and The Ghost Whisperer that I never knew I needed. Excellent sound design. I felt like I was there with John. Cannot wait for season 2 when we get to learn more about what is going on in Springfield. My money is on some sort of murder cult.
Original and entertaining, recommended.
The mystery of this show is really cool and I can't wait to discover more
I saw this come up a list here on Podchaser. I wasn't sure about the premise but within the first episode I was in. It's so interesting. Supernatural mystery done differently. A must listen. I have screwed my sleep cycle because I could not stop listening. Can't wait for season 3.
Great show! I'm currently trying not to binge everything at once. I could see this being a hit tv series, but I hope a season 4 appears soon!
How I Died, is a kind of Bones meets The Ghost Whisper. Its premise alone you'd think might set you up for a cozy supernatural, and that's not far off how it starts; however, with pitch-perfect pacing it masterfully warms you up for the macabre coming down the pipe. Make no mistake, the heart of this show is picking up the grisly remains from nasty crime scenes, and be assured the sound design is up to the task. How I Died will fit the bill for fans of crime procedurals, mystery town serials, and supernatural shows. Produced by Audiohm Media, who is also responsible for The Patron Saint of Suicides, it is quickly establishing their brand as a makers of well-produced character-rich grisly crime series. At three seasons, it has yet to exhaust its premise and has a way of constantly raising stakes and refreshing its format.
Came for the paranormal, stayed for the deep personal connection Jon provides. A great execution. Can't wait for season 2
Absolutely LOVE this show! I can't wait for another season to come out!
Season 1 got me interested, the premise was decent. But Season 2 is SOOOO good! Every aspect became so much better without losing the feel of the story and characters from the first season. The acting, background sound, the writing. I love the underlying theme of the purple bodies and the Hospital… issue. ( not wanting to spoil) I’m hooked! Keep up the great work! My criticism is the ads to story ratio. The episodes are short, which isn’t an issue. A lot of story is put into 20 min! I understand that’s probably how you make your money to keep it going. STILL, 5 starts!!!! Yay! Where can I buy a t-shirt or other merch?
I followed this one closely as it was an instant hit with me. The novelty of speaking with the victim and how they retain their flawed/unreliable human nature even after death was the first hook; then the mystery of what happened in Springfield, plus a serial killer copying storm shock and also great character development! For certain one of my favorite stories
Listened to the first season so far. It did have a slow start, which I didn't mind too much, but by episode 7 it got me hooked and now I want to find the time to listen to it all at once. The characters are getting more and more rounded and you gotta love that.
I LOVE this show. I'm not a fan of crime stuff really but this one caught me off guard with how good it is. Cannot wait for more of it.
