Dr. Jaroslav Blazek (Dr Jaro) has a PhD in food science from the University of Sydney. He has been passionate about food and nutrition for as long as he can remember.

Dr Jaro moved to Australia in his early 20’s enticed by the opportunities in the nutrient science field. Since then, driven by a belief in the importance of creating high quality products, he set out on a mission to change the face of the nutricosmetic industry.

In this episode of the Human Potential Podcast, our host, Oliver Freer, talks with Dr Jaro about his frustration with the lack of good quality, scientifically proven nutricosmetic products in the Australian marketplace, such as Marine Collagen. Dr Jaro set up a side business while still employed and overcame the multiple challenges that he faced. His ambitious plan is to develop a line of scientifically proven and high-quality products for Australians passionate about their health led to the creation of ‘The Beauty Shake’.

Dr Jaro is on a mission to bring high quality healthy nutricosmetic products to Australians and beyond. The product range that includes the Beauty Shake is growing to include more weight loss and beauty products and is expanding further into sports nutrition and sports recovery areas.

His success has been largely been attributable to good old -fashioned hard work.  He has established a start-up company from scratch and states “you simply cannot count the hours you put in because you would give up. You need to be prepared to work hundreds of hours in the evenings and on the weekends with nothing in return and believe in your idea and your vision.”
