Dr.Keely Holland Petty is best known as the Mother Teresa in her community and has appeared on the cover of the San Antonio Business Journal highlighting her community service among the poor in various capacities. She lives faithfully by one of Mother Teresa’s quotes which says:“If we have no peace it is because we have forgotten that we belong to each other.”Since 2006she has been the Program Director for Bethel Community Development Corporation, Inc. where she is responsible for providing daily oversight of funding from local, state, private donors, and federal grants. Her duties include oversight of fiscal, personnel, management community engagement, program implementation and evaluation.She is a prolific international conference speaker, author, and empowerment specialist. She frequently speaks at Colleges, Universities, Texas Health and Human Services HIV/AIDS Conference and has spoken before the Texas State Representatives and is called upon as an Innovationist for various civic, business and Ministry organizations throughout the community. She has spoken at Capitol Hill to Texas Senators at CADCA Prevention Day, San Antonio Business Journal BIZ Women Mentoring, San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce Leadership Series, and San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Woman to Woman Leader to Leader and a previous co-host for TAAN-TV community affairs program.She hosted Joy in our Town Community Affairs and the Praise the Lord program for the largest Christian Network Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) for 17 years.She is founder of Girl Worth Mentoring,which empowers teen girls to fulfill their God given destiny through life skills training. Faith Connection assists Churches and Ministries to become 501 (c) (3) non-profits through capacity building, technical assistant training, and leadership development. She is founder of the Self Esteem Institute 4 Women helps women from all walks of life become competent to live productively for themselves and others through the Six Pillars of Self Esteem and Emotional Health Transformation Session. She is the founder of Sisters in the Spirit a of team of women who provide Bible studies and life skills training to women in recovery, assisting them in breaking the chains of addiction. Her newest venture Kick Start Your Life Confidence Coaching, Counseling, and Consulting, combines Faith and principles of psychology.Dr. Keely also works with several AIDS service organizations such as BEAT-AIDS, South Texas AIDS Network, Texas Black Women Initiative HIV/AIDS, Worth Life, Churches HIV Intervention Prevention Program, and Faith in Action.She hosts “Conversations on Sexual Health” Community Forum in an effort to combat STD’s & HIV among women. She a member of SISTAS In Business, and is a member of National Christian Counseling Association, Christian Business Women, and Professional Women of Faith Network. She has been appointed to the Ministers Roundtable of TXwhose focus is on eliminating HIV/AIDS in the state of Texas among people of color.She serves on the committee of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) where she promotes mental health awareness programs among persons of color and the Faith-Based Community. She has received honors from the University of the Incarnate her alma mater, and Gov. Gregg About for her community service and serves on the board of the Global Chamber San Antonio.In 2017 she was awarded San Antonio Business Women’s Leadership Award,San Antonio Business Journal Non-Profit Employee and The Unsung Hero Spirit of Giving Award, 2015 she was awarded the San Antonio Women’s Chamber of Commerce Constellation of Stars Award,and has been featured in the Gems of Faith2category in the2014Who’sWho Women’s Edition,and 2017 was awarded the Community Leadership award from the River City Top Ladies of Distinction.She has received honors from Governor Greg Abbot for her community work in 2017. Dr. Keely has been appointed to the Mayors Pastoral Council2015, Commissioner on the Mayors Commission on the Status of Women2016-2019,Co-Chair on the San Antonio Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission2017-2019. and Chair in 2020and on the Mayors Community Police Relations Initiative. She is a Certified Life Coach, Recovery Coach,Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist, and Certified Community Health Worker,and is a Consultant with Texas Department of Health and Human Service Opioid Response Network. She is a graduate of the DEA and FBI Citizens Academy and holds a BA in Communications from the University of Incarnate Word,and a Master and Doctorate in Christian Counseling from the Royal Priesthood Christian Counseling Academy, and is a graduate of Community Anti-Drug Coalitions,of America (CADCA). She is the mother of two young adult sons Jirah and Jonathan Petty,and resides in Cibolo, TX with her lifetime sweetheart and agreement partner Lee, and her Maltese’s Romeo and Zsa Zsa.
