Two impeachment-related cases at the SDNY courthouse yesterday: one on presidential immunity, the other on Giuliani's associates. Andrea Bernstein and Ilya Marritz, co-hosts of the Trump, Inc. podacst were there, and they have stories. On Wednesday, Republican members of the House staged a protest outside the secure hearing room where foreign policy officials were testifying. The protest raised security concerns, as lawmakers live-tweeted and posted video and audio recordings of the protest from an area where cell phones are prohibited. In the federal Southern District of New York courthouse, a judge heard arguments in a case to determine whether a Justice Department memo ⁠— which played a significant role in limiting the Mueller investigation ⁠— precluded the President from all criminal prosecution. The case also touched on issues related to Trump using his office to turn a profit. Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, two arrested Giuliani associates also pleaded "Not Guilty" to campaign finance related charges.
