In his new book, "The Bible Tells Me So: Why Defending Scripture Has Made Us Unable to Read It," Enns argues that following the Bible blindly and lining it up to our expectations is not an act of piety but a thinly masked fear of uncertainty that serves as a warning sign that we do not trust God at all.
