Has 2-3 eps out of 40 that are done well. The interviewer whitewashes bad faith or malignant guests so hard you have to question the integrity and purpose of the show. She may defend it as good "investigative journalism", but this is not that. She chooses to routinely lie about the character and actions of her guests, not for any big reveal (we're more than a year in) but just as long as they lick her feet outside the show. The show seems to alter the definition and meaning of terms frequently as long as it allows her to offer more red meat to a "true crime podcast" fanbase. It would be nice if she didn't sacrifice integrity for a fanbase. Also, instead of trying to remove or redefine the blackpill (basically defeatism and hopelessness) from the spaces, she seems to have no issue amplifying it.Had so much potential, and her podcasting skills are improving, but it's pretty bad lol.
naama kates a liar and sociopath. This women lied about how she would conduct her interview. Then when things couldn't come to an agreement. She went back on her word and still used the audio piece she interviewed. Then accused the individual of something that didnt happen. The reason why she is doing this is because her acting career in softcore porn has stalled.
Naama has the tough but important job of exploring the incel community. Through open discussion, and letting subjects speak for themselves, this podcast reveals more than what we've seen in the media as of late. Often dark, but always interesting.
This was just trash. First of all, the audio quality was not great; in this day and age there is no excuse. Then there's the issue with the host, Naama. I wanted some great investigative journalism out of this, especially for such an interesting topic. But Naama was horrible. She barely responds to her guests, rather, she just nods and agrees with them until she gets to the next question. NO interview skills. Then there's the fact that she doesn't challenge the people she talks to at all. She provides a platform for these men to talk about their horrible ideas and COMMENDS them on things they do well. I understand wanting to hear people out, but there's a difference between hearing a side of a story and allowing that side a chance to spread their messed up ideas. It honestly just seemed like Naama was like, "wow, they may hate women but they're talking me so I must be special". Dumb.
Naama is doing an incredible job presenting a subject that tends to be quickly judged and biased. She's opening up discussion that hasn't happened yet for this before.
A pod that takes a compassionate look at incels. It's mainly about telling individual stories, showing how some of them are surprising ethical, clever & articulate. Incels (not meaning just the men) have to be the most marginalised minority in existence right now. So it's great they have such an able ally in Naama. But the reason Ive been listening to this Pod for years is that she has such an amazing, soothing voice.
I really enjoyed Incel. The podcast is about a very dark side of the web. Based on some of the comments below, a few reviewers may be involuntary celibate as well!
Explores empathically the lowest of low of the relationship impaired people. While much gets focused on the tragedies involved, nobody focuses on the thousands upon thousands of people who are suffering everyday. Naama is a wonderful host who gently glides on this journey.
Totally out of the box thinking, doing important work. I say that even if I don't agree with everything she says, or seems to say. I always learn something here.
I have a keen interest in subcultures and the fizzy elements of society and yet the Incel phenomenon was one I had overlooked. Naama lets these guys speak for themselves in a non combative way so they can articulate their own feelings and bounce around ideas that many find repugnant. This is pure journalism where the focus is always the subject and greater understanding the result. Thank you.
