We discuss medical cannabis use and research in Canada, including the impact regulations have on research. We also focus on translation of research to clinical and public applications, education related to cannabis use, and health policy. Finally, Dr. Balneaves reflects on racial injustice in Canada and the US with respect to the recent events sparked by the Black Lives Matter movement and the death of George Floyd.
