Steve Hindalong is a songwriter, percussionist and producer. He is best known for co-founding the alternative rock band, The Choir, and serves as the group’s drummer, lyricist and co-producer. Debuting in 1985, The Choir was nominated for a Grammy in 2001, and recently released its 17th studio album, Bloodshot, in 2018. In addition, he is a member of the alternative Americana rock group, The Lost Dogs.
A prolific songwriter, Hindalong has written and co-written hundreds of recorded songs. He has produced numerous artists including Sixpence None the Richer, The Prayer Chain, Solveig Leithaug and Sara Groves, and most recently a solo album for his bandmate, Derri Daugherty.
Among Hindalong’s most notable creative conceptions is the four-album worship series, City on a Hill, for which he received multiple Dove awards and nominations as producer, writer and artist. Included in this series is the widely known worship standard, God of Wonders, which he co-wrote with Marc Byrd.
He has recorded two solo albums, Skinny, in 1998 and The Warbler, in 2016.
