As we continue through our "Destination Decisions" series, with this discipleship conversation we arrive at the topic: "Selfish or Sacrificial?" Selfishness is easy; we are born with this propensity and never outgrow it - - - unless we intentionally learn how to put others before ourselves. Sacrifice makes someone else matter more than us.

Philippians 2:3-4 says, "Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others." This verse in mind, as we launch this podcast on July 4th, we turn to the example of Lydia Barrington Darragh, a Quaker who put her country ahead of her own desires and best interests.

Listen to a piece of her fascinating story, then let that help you springboard into a meaningful discipleship conversation with those entrusted to you!
