Steve Saint
We climb into huge flying machines that weigh hundreds of thousands of pounds and go flying so high we would die of oxygen starvation, or freeze solid if a window or a door were to blow out. We don’t even bother to look out at the storm clouds far below or the flaming orange sun setting over the curvature of our earth, visible from our perch, seven to eight miles high. Perhaps the greatest calamity that has befallen our society in the second half of the last century has been our loss of a sense of wonder. When we see our incredible, unbelievable, and crazy world through a stone-age warrior’s eyes, the sense of wonder returns. www.stevesaint.com
