Chelsea, Christy, and Tianna do a great job of debating and discussing their chosen movies. You’ll laugh, you’ll learn, you’ll enjoy the show the entire way. Subscribe!
This show has a great premise - analysing movies based on true stories to determine how truthful those stories are. This show therefore doubles as a movie review podcast. The show begins by cheerfully introducing the hosts Tianna, Chelsea and Christy (after a few seconds long language warning - hell yeah). The hosts then give a little summary of what’s going on in the world/their life’s before moving swiftly on to the meat of the episode within a couple of minutes. I listened to episode 15 which covered the story of Travis Walton. The hosts give a detailed summary of the events the film covers (Fire in the Sky) and the events it’s all based on - a show that does exactly what the description says. You can really feel the positive relationship between the hosts despite the difficulties of recording in the virtual world we live in (not all shows bounce off each other so naturally when not in the same room). None of the hosts talk over each other and all clearly respect each others views whilst also feeling comfortable to disagree and poke fun. The laughs and giggles keep you feeling a part of the humorous conversation between friends, rather than listening to a static summary - each host has a distinct personality.I also loved the poop-pile rating system (poop-o-meter). One poop = pretty darn truthful. Five poops = utter B.S - barely a poop-kernel of truth. The hosts have even done half a poop. Make of that what you will… I won’t spoil their rating of Travis’ story. There were snippets of the film and commentary which livened up the show as a segue between segments. The show is well-researched in terms of both the films (including cast) and the stories that inspired them.Overall, this is an enjoyable show with a really unique concept that hasn’t been done too much in the podcast world. Give it a try.
