I then discuss the hustle of carving out your own lane as a freelancer, what got me started on my own journey through design, what I've learnt along the way from Plymouth College of Art and Design (PCAD), to diving into the industry, finding work, building a client base and navigating the world of freestyle design. I get into typography, kerning, other technical parts of graphic design and give a nod to a fellow designer's book: Adrian Shaughnessy's - How To Be A Graphic Designer Without Losing Your Soul.
