Tony Hale on overcoming asthma - Jane’s guest today is the incredibly talented Tony Hale. We all know him from his roles in the groundbreaking Fox comedy series Arrested Development, in Walt Disney/Pixar’s Toy Story 4, and as the hilariously obsequious Gary Walsh on the HBO political comedy VEEP — for which he won two Primetime Emmy Awards. He now also voices Archibald in the DreamWorks show, Archibald's Next Big Thing, the animated kids show streaming on Netflix, which is based off a children’s book of the same name that he wrote. And numerous new and exciting projects are in the works. But what many of us don’t know about Tony is that he is one of the more than 25 million Americans living with asthma, a respiratory disease that is associated with symptoms such as wheezing, chest tightness, shortness of breath and difficulty breathing. It has been a lifelong journey for him. So much so, that in an effort to help allay the frustration and anxiety that often comes with it, Tony has recently teamed up with the pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca to get the word out that there are, in fact, different types of asthma, and more importantly, they require different types of treatments. On this segment, Tony discusses his new campaign, his illustrious career, shares his lifestyle advice, including how he deals with stress and anxiety, and talks about his favorite things. It’s an enthralling interview you don’t want to miss.
