After her father’s death, Jonita felt lost. She developed a skin disease, but was unable to find any medical professional to treat her condition effectively. During her quest to find healing, she discovered her essence. Now her passion is helping others find their essence.

What was the number one thing that was holding you back from accepting self love?

I was too focused on all my imperfections.

Who is one person who has changed your life for the better?

My best friend.

What is the best advice you have ever received?

“Let the movement be your medicine.”

What is a self care habit that you practice regularly?

Every morning I do a shaking exercise. I think that’s very important. I have specific music and it is five minutes. I shake every part of my body to let go of negative thoughts and limiting beliefs.

Can you share a resource, an app or a tool that we can use to build our selfcare practice.

The Native American practice of using sage to clear negative energy and calm your nerves.

Do you have a favorite quote?

“You have time to feel like shit, but you don’t have time to fix your shit?”

Pussy: A Reclamation.

What is the one thing that you are most passionate about?

Beauty. I’m very passionate about creating beauty.
