I think the narration and production are great. The narrator does a very good job of keeping you interested and locked in. The problem is the story, it's just really not that interesting. They really dragged it out into 6 episodes when it could have been 2-3 episodes at best. You keep hearing the same scenes play out over again, and you can tell what happened from the 2nd or 3rd episode.

Dateline are master storytellers and this podcast is no different. If you're tired of the same ol' same ol' true crime story, try this.

Interesting premise but the narrator was all wrong for the role...this is true crime after all, not some ghost story. He sounds like he's on a porch telling a tall tale. And him, along with the detectives, just feel super smarmy talking about how the young woman's emotions just don't seem credible. How hard is it to understand her mom ran to the door to bolt it?? The detectives ask this twice...as it running to lock a door would be impossible. Is the mom unable to run? Is that the twist? Sheesh.

Keith makes this story overly dramatic; what could be said in 1-2 podcasts is drawn out over 6 podcasts. Keith usually does a good job with telling a story but this one is over the top drama.

Another efficient if a bit "made for tv" true crime production from Dateline.
