Yo. What the heck is going on, everybody? Welcome
0:09
back to another episode of the kind of funny
0:12
games cast. You're home for all things
0:14
video Here at kinda funny
0:16
with two familiar but
0:18
new faces to the Gamescast. Myself
0:21
and Paris Lily for the X cast are taken
0:23
over with one sweet sweet Andy
0:25
Cortez to talk about a very dope
0:27
video game. We've gone hands on
0:29
with Redfall. But before we talk about
0:31
our Redfall preview, Let's go around
0:33
the
0:34
board. Paris, how are you feeling today? Welcome to
0:36
the Gamescast. little different from our green background.
0:38
No. Right? I I get to be on a show with
0:40
Andy, so that's always exciting. No, I'm good,
0:42
man. Doing good. That's great.
0:45
I'm I'm glad to hear it. And yes, we get Andy.
0:47
This week, you missed it. We did the woe long.
0:49
Folland Dynasty review was on, and of
0:51
course, that was week you were gone. So we finally
0:53
get the two of you together. Paris, when you
0:55
look at Andy, what game do you think
0:57
YouTube would vibe with the most? If you guys
1:00
were to play co op together or maybe
1:02
squad up in some
1:02
multiplayer. What's the game YouTube you think would vibe
1:04
with? I wanted there's two actually.
1:08
I wanted to co op with Andy
1:10
on Returnal and Eldon
1:12
Ring. Oh, dang. I
1:14
know I know you I know you've had
1:16
you've had chance to do
1:17
it, Mike, and I'm actually very jealous that we've
1:19
not done it. We gotta link up. Paris, can you
1:21
just promise not to drive me up the goddamn
1:24
wall? Then I'd be down. Because
1:26
Mike Mike just Mike makes
1:28
me contemplate
1:29
retirement. You know, it's this
1:31
is a bait of the ass. I love it. I love it. I
1:34
love it. love it. Guy. But can I give a
1:36
slight sneak peek? I got a feeling
1:38
there's another game I'm definitely gonna wanna
1:40
do co op with. Okay.
1:43
Little sneak peek here. Okay. Okay. Well,
1:45
of course, there is the game that is coop that we're gonna
1:47
be talking about in just a little bit, but Andy,
1:50
you're back on the Gamescast. Of course, we're taking
1:52
over today. How are you feeling? How are you looking
1:54
today, Big Papa? I'm feeling great. I took a week
1:56
off from Game's cast because I was
1:59
working on all the overlays that
2:01
I'm sure if any of y'all have tuned into the
2:04
kind of funny game showcase that we're
2:06
doing right now for GDC. They
2:08
were also reviewing resident evil four and
2:11
you know, I as a child of God, I would never
2:13
touch that game with games for the devil. Those
2:15
games made by the by demons, and I have one
2:17
other to do a resident evil four remake. But the
2:19
demo was pretty sick actually. It was
2:21
scary as shit, but it was pretty awesome.
2:23
So I might actually play resin Resideo
2:26
before
2:26
remake. We'll see. That's great
2:28
to hear, Andy. That's gonna be a hot game this year. So
2:31
I do hope you check it out, of course, another
2:33
hot game right now, personally. Before we
2:35
jump into the fun, diablo four
2:37
beta right now. Oh. Starting this
2:39
weekend for everybody. If you pre purchased it, you played
2:41
it last weekend. Holy cow. No. We spent
2:44
a lot of time in hell. Me and Andy
2:46
Cortez. Could you jump into it?
2:48
A little bit. I didn't I didn't get a chance
2:50
to play as much as weekend as as I
2:52
wanted too, but III definitely will,
2:54
you know, coming up here this week. But
2:57
I had even tweeted it out. I've not
2:59
played a Diablo game since first one.
3:01
So this all felt very
3:03
brand new to me jumping in into
3:05
that. Interesting enough, I played on PC.
3:08
And at first, I was doing mouse and keyboard,
3:10
and I switched to
3:11
controller. think I like playing on controller better.
3:13
Take it too. Take it all. It's
3:16
a very mouse and keyboard heavy game, of course,
3:18
coming from the PC side of things, but you
3:20
gotta give credit to that team. They nailed
3:22
-- Yeah. -- controller input back with Diablo
3:24
three. It's truly impressive and it feels
3:26
great. I mean, I was on the couch pairs playing
3:28
with Andy and it felt so good you just have the
3:30
Xbox League controller and and laid
3:32
up on the couch. It was perfect to break away from the
3:34
desk. So shout out to them for that one. Me
3:37
and Andy did try to take on the world boss.
3:39
We got absolutely annihilated. So
3:41
for all of you out there, get ready
3:43
Diablo four this coming weekend is
3:45
finally the open beta, so you don't have to go
3:47
by that KFC double down. All five
3:49
classes will be available. Hopefully, you take advantage
3:52
of it and play a little bit before June.
3:54
We're not too far away, but we're just far enough
3:56
away where it's gonna make you miss it. Just a
3:58
little bit because this game is an absolute
4:00
banger. But
4:01
I wanna hear Mike Mike. I'm here. You have to you
4:03
have to buy the b k stacker too. Oh.
4:08
Dude, I had to blast with this. I had to blast with Diablo,
4:10
though. I know this is we'll talk about under
4:12
a second. I I'm kind of
4:14
like Paris. I don't have a whole lot of experience with
4:16
the Diablo franchise. I was was more of the
4:18
World Warcraft guy back in the day. And
4:20
so I remember a friend of mine when
4:23
you bought when I was in college and
4:25
when you bought Diablo three, you
4:27
could give somebody like a starter
4:30
pass and they could kind of play the game as
4:32
well. I don't know if it was like for limited
4:34
amount of time. And I paid off. I was like, you know, this is kinda
4:36
cool. It's just not really for me right now.
4:38
But holy cow, Diablo IV immediately
4:41
shot up to like my most anticipated games
4:43
of the year. At a blast with it.
4:45
Combat's great. Visually, it is gorgeous
4:47
on PC. Unlike Paris, I play
4:49
on controller. I I've never been a
4:51
huge fan of the mouse and keyboard
4:54
aspect with games like this. And I
4:56
think I forget who it was. So
4:58
the comments will let me know, but they they
5:01
they kind of nailed it for me when they said that
5:03
clicking a character around kind of reminds
5:06
me
5:06
of, like, Command and Conquer where I'm leading. And that's
5:08
what it is. An army of people as opposed
5:10
to, like,
5:10
just
5:10
one person. So controller input for
5:13
me was awesome. I had blast with it.
5:15
Yeah. And I I think you nailed it on that. That's
5:17
exactly why it's over controller. It just
5:19
felt more natural for
5:21
this type of game than
5:23
it did to your point. I felt like instead
5:25
of I'm ordering people around. I am
5:27
actually controlling the character.
5:30
Well, I love some fun stuff for you. Of course, me
5:32
and Joey have our own games cast episode
5:34
where we talk all things Diablo four.
5:36
In our preview with the hands on. You're getting hands
5:38
on this weekend and last weekend. So go
5:40
jump in. Get ready for it. It's a ton of
5:42
fun, but we're not here to talk about Diablo
5:44
four. We are here to talk about
5:46
Bethesda's Big Next Title X
5:49
Boxes Big Next Title. That's
5:51

7:20

7:22
this week, the Gamescast is sponsored
7:25
by Honey, but we'll tell you all about that
7:27
in a little bit. Let's jump into it.
7:29
Paris, Andy, we get to talk
7:31
all things, Redfall. We have gone
7:33
hands on. Now for everybody out there, it
7:35
was about two weeks ago, so memories might be
7:38
a little fuzzy, but it's gonna
7:40
be a ton of fun to talk about at Paris. I wanna
7:42
start with you and I wanna go around the table
7:44
of, of course, our first impressions, what we
7:46
thought of going hands on with this. But most importantly,
7:48
Paris, we finally have definitive answer
7:51
what this game is because, of course, we
7:53
talked about it on the XCast. Is it borderlands?
7:55
Is it left for dead? Oh, it's Far Cry.
7:57
What is it? So, Paris, in
7:59
your best quick description, what the heck is
8:01
we're gonna fall for people who are still questioning
8:03
it?
8:05
Redfall is definitely more
8:07
far cry than anything of all
8:09
the comparisons that we made. It
8:12
is obviously, a four player co op
8:14
open world experience. You're hunting
8:16
down vampires. You're taking down certain
8:18
objectives. The four characters have
8:20
their own unique built special abilities
8:22
that they have. There's various weapon drops
8:25
that you'll be able to pick up along the
8:27
way. I I can say, now we
8:29
did not get to play coop, and I'm sure we'll talk
8:31
about this little bit more as we we go in-depth. So
8:33
I basically had a single player experience
8:36
going through playing Redfall, but I
8:38
quite enjoyed my time. You know, had
8:40
about hour and half, hour forty five minutes,
8:42
hands on time, being able to play it.
8:45
And I really enjoyed it. I really
8:47
enjoyed the Open World of Redfall.
8:50
It it is dense. It's
8:52
probably the best description that I can
8:54
give it where you look at the map. You think
8:57
maybe the map is that big, but you're
8:59
on foot. And when you're actually in the world,
9:01
I just kinda just explored around. There was
9:04
an objective that I ultimately, you
9:06
know, completed by the end. But I love
9:08
the freedom of just being able to walk around and
9:10
there was all kind of various activities going
9:12
on at the same time. The
9:14
weapons felt very good that
9:17
was probably the biggest, most
9:19
pleasant surprise that I had, the the
9:21
gun play and it felt very good being
9:23
able to take down vampires, you
9:26
know, other activities that were happening,
9:28
the vampire nest. Obviously, the the
9:30
one big objective that that you do take on
9:33
at the end. Every everything felt
9:35
good from from a weapon standpoint. Ability
9:37
wise, actually didn't use a lot. I
9:40
I was Jacob. When I played and he had he
9:42
had stealth, but didn't
9:44
really find a lot of scenarios where I absolutely
9:47
had to use it. So I used it pretty
9:49
sparingly. But even that, I can see as you
9:51
go through the skill tree and start to update it, it's
9:53
gonna feel good. And I feel like you said a quick
9:55
description, and I'm
9:56
going a lot as well. Oh, I'm gonna like Pat, I'm
9:58
glad you're doing that. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
10:00
Yeah. Go ahead, please. Oh,
10:01
as you say, I will move on to Andy, but finish it off for
10:03
liquid parents. No. No. I was just gonna say, really
10:06
enjoyed it. I mean, my one caveat, which I'm
10:08
sure we'll have a bigger discussion, is how
10:10
is all this gonna balance out in a co op setting?
10:12
That that's still the one question that I
10:14
have. I did have the opportunity to
10:17
sit down with the creative director Ricardo,
10:19
and and kind of, you know, we'll get into this
10:21
a little more. Asking some of the questions that
10:23
we've talked a lot about on XCash. So
10:26
got some some pretty definitive answers
10:28
from that as well. But overall, this
10:30
is shaping up to to I'm excited. Let's
10:32
put it that way. I'm very excited for for May
10:34
second to get here because it's looking like
10:36
it's gonna be a very fun
10:37
experience. Like hearing that. Yeah. Just
10:39
so everybody hears it again. Like Paresh
10:41
said, even me and Andy, we all played single
10:44
player. During this hands on preview, there
10:46
was no co op available to us. So you're
10:48
gonna hear us from a single player standpoint,
10:50
we'll talk about I mean, I'm sure me and Paresh
10:53
both had some questions for Ricardo regarding
10:55
co ops. So we'll talk about that as well. But A lot of
10:57
this is gonna come from the lens of single player.
10:59
So Andy, tell me your impressions of
11:02
what you thought of your time with
11:03
Redfall. Redfall seems
11:06
promising even though there are some
11:08
things that I wasn't quite as hyped
11:10
on when I got in there.
11:13
And I don't I wish
11:15
I had more time with it. I wish the demo
11:17
was a bit longer because even
11:19
speaking to Mike afterwards, it seemed like Mike
11:22
experienced numerous
11:24
more things than I was able to experience. Stuff
11:26
that I felt was missing and was like,
11:28
yeah, it's kinda weird how, you know, I was
11:30
just fighting like the same enemy and didn't see a
11:32
whole lot. And then Mike hits me with,
11:35
well, I thought this type enemy and I thought this
11:37
type enemy. I was like, oh, shit. I never saw
11:39
either of those two. But I totally
11:41
agree with the far cry comparisons. This
11:44
very much feels like a go
11:46
where you want an explore how you
11:48
want sort of thing with the borderlands
11:52
idea of selecting one
11:54
of the four characters that have their own
11:57
sort of classes and abilities
11:59
and things like that. I played as the
12:01
other male character who's the influencer. He's
12:04
like an Internet influencer. Yeah.
12:06
Finder? Devinder. Devinder.
12:08
Yeah. And I like to sort of
12:10
vibe, which they gave us a night need a
12:12
little rundown of
12:13
these characters, Lauren, how This
12:15
is dude who has sort
12:17
of a podcast about all
12:20
sorts of, like, is big foot real
12:22
and our Redfall and all that. So now he feels
12:24
super justified that, yes, all this
12:27
stuff is real, and it's happening here in
12:30
III have some some
12:33
qualms with it. I do
12:35
feel like I it
12:37
must have been the section that I was playing. It didn't
12:39
feel as alive as I wanted it to feel.
12:42
There were a couple of areas that I
12:44
see a house and it's boarded up on the bottom
12:46
floors and I go, oh, well, I'm Devinder and
12:48
I have this really cool ability where
12:50
I have if anybody's played Lova
12:53
in Apex Legends, you toss
12:55
a translocator and where wherever it
12:57
goes is about to land you transport to
12:59
it. Maybe I can get into the house on
13:01
an upper floor and everything else was
13:03
not
13:04
I get to the upper floor of the house and I'm not able
13:06
to enter in any other way there.
13:08
So I was like, Dan, that that kind of felt like it was
13:10
limiting me there a bit. I
13:13
also feel like I would have enjoyed this way more if
13:15
I could have played it on keyboard mouse. Unfortunately,
13:17
they only had controllers available
13:20
so that, like, automatically lessen
13:22
the experience, but I still came away
13:25
excited to check out the final product because
13:27
it's still a game I'm very, very much looking forward
13:29
to and I'm very happy that Paris is
13:31
a lot more positive on it because I had a feeling
13:33
that maybe I just wasn't seeing
13:36
the right stuff. But, yeah, still
13:38
a game that I'm looking forward to play whenever
13:40
it does come out and I will be playing on keyboard mouse
13:42
and I just wanna feel that action
13:45
a bit more kind of getting into the groove
13:47
of lowering down the enemies and switching
13:49
to the weapon that has a stake on it state
13:51
like feedback sound
13:54
awesome as hell. Like, I love the the
13:56
headshot sort of feedback again. Whenever
14:00
shooter can do that and do it well,
14:02
I'm completely in. Mike, how did
14:04
you feel about Redfall? Yeah. You know,
14:06
wanna shout out, of course, you guys is coming
14:08
in with that. As if you've been listening to the kind
14:11
of funny ex cats, you know I've been probably Lukewarm and
14:13
by me the biggest critic of this,
14:15
but coming out of it and looking back on our
14:17
time, I'm a lot more positive. I am
14:19
impressed with what we saw. I have a clear vision
14:21
of what this game is now, and
14:23
that's what I really needed from this hands on
14:25
event. Right? We've now known it is
14:27
very similar to Far Cry. And when
14:29
you put Arcan and you allow them to
14:31
cook up something special with such
14:33
world detail. Right? And the ability to
14:36
put the player and their choices at
14:38
the front of it. Right? Of, like, I played
14:40
as Leila, and she has some really cool abilities
14:43
to, of course, pop up with her little mini
14:45
elevator I can deflect bullets with
14:47
the umbrella and also what sold me
14:49
on her. She has her zombie boyfriend,
14:51
where I can send out a companion to go
14:53
fight for me. And with me, I thought that
14:55
was really fun on the single player side. But
14:57
I was impressed with the world detail. Right? When
14:59
we talk about Far Cry and you just kinda
15:01
get lost in the minutia of oh,
15:03
I've been on this island for forty
15:06
hours, and just getting bored of the same repetitive
15:08
stuff. I thought the detail and the attention
15:11
the detail that this team put in really
15:13
showcases the game. Right? It's a much smaller
15:15
scale, their biggest game, but a much
15:17
smaller experience than what you would see in Far Cry
15:20
six. Right? And so running around
15:22
and just experiencing the world
15:24
itself, finding those little nooks and crannies
15:26
that you brought up Andy of being able to
15:28
go into a house and really explore and
15:30
come out of it. I also went into
15:32
a vampire nest, which
15:34
I thought was really well done of like
15:37
going into this underground world and
15:39
it being totally different than above and
15:41
having this fun moment at the end where it's all
15:43
collapsing upon you and you gotta leave. was
15:45
impressed with what I saw. I'm actually
15:47
much more positive than where I was two
15:49
weeks ago heading into this event. And
15:52
so I'm looking forward to having a discussion with
15:54
you guys of the goods and the bad.
15:56
I am little worried On the co op
15:58
side of things, I think it will be very fun to
16:00
put the player agency first and allow you and
16:02
four friends to really cook up and do something weird
16:04
with the gameplay mechanics that they've done.
16:07
But I think you will lose the story. There
16:09
will be a lot of talking over it. You won't
16:11
have that really fun, creepy, eerie
16:14
feeling like you brought up Andy like, the
16:16
sound is dying and the world really goes a
16:18
long way when you're playing solo. So I think there's
16:20
some good and some bad, but all
16:22
in all, I'm much more positive on this
16:24
experience, and I thought I was gonna be going into
16:26
it. But we're gonna tell you little bit more about
16:29
that right after a word from our

17:35
Alright, guys. Let's talk about it right now.
17:37
We've given our overall impressions. Let's
17:39
jump into the game, play this open world. And
17:41
that's what I wanna touch on. Is I've touched
17:44
on the world detail, but the open world
17:46
for me, I was impressed with. You know, Andy, I
17:48
know you brought up. It kinda was kinda empty
17:50
and bleak. For me, I was impressed the
17:52
day night cycle really showed off and
17:54
showcased two different worlds that you're
17:56
gonna see at night. Lot more vampires
17:59
out and about, of course, They have blocked
18:01
out the sun, so the vampires are there all
18:03
the way through the day. But it is prevalent of,
18:05
hey, there's a lot more vampires in a different
18:07
scene in the nighttime. Opposed to daytime
18:09
where you can see lot more cultists. And I
18:11
was impressed with it felt
18:13
different in both areas. I rewalk I
18:15
walked through the same area twice once at night
18:17
once in the day and, like, seeing people there
18:20
and not there in certain times, seeing
18:22
people, like, kind of the emerging Gamescast
18:24
like, oh, Now all of a sudden there's some survivors
18:27
that are tied up and I have to go save them from some
18:29
cultists in the daytime or they're not there
18:31
at night where did they go? I thought that was kind
18:33
of impressive. And so I like
18:35
the world that I'm seeing right
18:37
now, especially the detail being able
18:39
to go into certain buildings and really explore.
18:42
Paris, what were your vibe on the world and
18:44
the detail
18:44
itself? Yeah. I mean, that's
18:47
was probably my my best take takeaway
18:49
from it was the open world
18:52
and just feeling like there were just
18:54
also many dynamic activities that
18:56
that were happening. Depending on where you went
18:58
and kinda to to your point, Andy, I
19:00
think the fact that I went off
19:02
the beaten path immediately instead of
19:04
going directly to what what was
19:06
considered the, you know, the the story director that
19:09
we're supposed to do. And I feel like I saw
19:11
lot more, and I and it has been a few weeks, so I
19:13
am blanking on exactly what this activity
19:15
was. But I came around around this
19:17
one house and I had to start up a generator
19:20
on it. And when I did that, there
19:22
was just this random encounter that
19:24
happened with this vampire in an almost sparked
19:26
off this mini horde mode that happened,
19:28
you know, with with various cultists that were
19:30
coming and had to take them out, and then you'd
19:33
ultimately like, I think the vampire
19:35
responds or boomers. I'm I'm blanking, and
19:37
I apologize for that. But the point is,
19:39
this was dynamic in the world. It isn't
19:42
a set encounter that's always to happen
19:44
in that location. It it can happen other places
19:47
in the world. And it was a fun
19:49
activity that had nothing to do with the main
19:51
story. But you do get some XP
19:53
from it. You can get a potential weapon drop from
19:55
it. Things like that. So you are encouraged
19:57
to wanna participate and to to Mike's
19:59
point, the day night cycle plays into that as
20:02
well. That activity have happened
20:04
at night, but it isn't going to happen during
20:06
the day. As an example, but during the day,
20:08
other things can happen that won't happen at night.
20:10
So I really like that dynamic of
20:12
the open world where I feel like there's gonna be
20:14
a lot of things to do outside
20:16
of the main
20:17
story. I don't know if we wanna go in
20:19
in into negatives at all. I don't know if you wanted to
20:21
keep going on that. Well,
20:22
we'll stick with the positive just little bit,
20:24
then we should go into the negatives for sure. Yeah.
20:27
But but the other positive I had was,
20:29
again, another activity out in the world is
20:31
is the vampire nest. I'm I'm with
20:33
Mike. I really enjoyed when I
20:35
was able to go do that and and, you
20:37
know, going through it and you get to the end game
20:39
portion of that and then, you know, you basically almost
20:42
like taking out mini boss. At the very
20:44
end, I thought that was pretty cool.
20:46
It does bring up question of how many of
20:48
those are in the world? Are they dynamic?
20:50
Is it the same thing over and over? Things like
20:52
that. But the the open world
20:55
itself, again, was probably my
20:57
favorite thing that that I experience in
20:59
this because like I said, I felt it was
21:01
very dense. I felt like every house that you
21:03
encountered, you would go in
21:05
you never know what's around the
21:07
corner. There could potentially be something to do
21:09
while while you're in there. So thought that was pretty good.
21:11
I like the variety of weapons. I
21:13
thought that was pretty neat. Yeah. You
21:15
essentially have three different weapons you can
21:18
have equipped. believe
21:20
three. Right?
21:22
You can have three equipped and I think
21:24
they said you could have up to forty stashed?
21:27
I believe so. Okay. Yeah. And they
21:29
all sort of vary where with
21:31
these vampires, you get their health low enough and you
21:33
need to have a weapon that has a stake
21:35
on the end of it to get the killing blow. You
21:37
need to have either an a r or
21:39
rifle or something with with some sort
21:41
of, like,
21:43
what's the bant -- No. -- non opic?
21:45
Yeah. But a steak, but there's the other word I'm looking
21:47
for. It's like the
21:48
the other Bayonette. Bayonette. Bayonette. Yeah.
21:50
Mhmm. And that's where you would use to kinda
21:52
get the the killing blow on them. But it's not
21:54
only just weapons. You also have these
21:57
really cool UV light guns
21:59
that are also used to kind
22:01
of lower down the enemy health
22:04
there's all it seems like they've got
22:07
the right rhythm there when it comes to equipping
22:09
weapons and getting
22:11
your sort of typical loot
22:14
findings where here's an uncommon one,
22:16
here's a rare one, here's a legendary weapon.
22:19
And I feel like they were very gracious with
22:21
those in this test where you
22:23
kinda had a big range of things you could find.
22:27
There were really neat moments that
22:29
reminded me of my favorite moments of playing
22:31
Far Cry where there was like a little cultist
22:34
sort of encampment and I'm using again,
22:37
I'm the character who has this translocator and
22:39
his abilities are he can teleport
22:41
to this little device that he throws. He
22:43
also has a spear that of
22:45
electricity that you could throw at people.
22:48
And one really cool ability that I had
22:50
was the I get
22:52
to a little encampment and there
22:55
are a bunch of cultists with a turret setup
22:58
and they are guarding something. And
23:01
so I I always just think, like, what's the most
23:03
creative way to kinda get around this? So
23:05
I use my translocator through
23:08
it past the turret where I
23:10
was still out of view, the turret lands
23:12
behind or the the translocated lands
23:14
behind the turret. I appear there, take out
23:16
the the bad the bad guys that were there.
23:18
What issue that I had though? And I talked
23:21
to Mike a bit about this, and I'm I'm interested to hear
23:23
what Paris says about it. Paris, were you able
23:25
to, like, take
23:27
anybody down melee style from behind like
23:29
a stealth
23:29
kill? Oh,
23:32
you're you're meeting?
23:37
Yeah. Sorry about that. No. I did I didn't
23:39
try. Yeah. So that I'm I'm not sure.
23:42
Because III wasn't able to. And I talked
23:44
to Mike about it because there were several loans
23:46
where you can kind of, like, quietly walk
23:48
up to a van power and I didn't have a prompt
23:50
to either, like,
23:52
you know, the last of a shiv in the throat
23:54
or whatever. There wasn't, like, any sort of prompt
23:56
there So I just kind of like started fighting
23:59
them. I and I know Mike kind of ran into that
24:01
as well. Right? Yeah. So I ran into
24:03
one cultist and snuck up behind him. And
24:05
there was no prompt in front of me. There is no
24:07
special animation. It was just a simple
24:09
melee in the back and the guy fell down.
24:11
So it wasn't anything like oh, wow, you're
24:14
doing something special here and really rewarded
24:16
me for the gameplay. It was just simply he
24:18
fell
24:18
over. And so it was interesting that that that
24:20
weren't the so, like, compared
24:22
to other arcane Sorry
24:24
to jump
24:25
in really quick. Just, like, thinking of dishonored and
24:27
stuff, which is, like, so, like, stealth
24:29
specific. Right? Where they you
24:32
have the abilities to lean into that. So it's interesting
24:34
that that was something that they didn't
24:36
have in mind. But
24:37
granted, I know this is the the prey team,
24:39
I believe. Yeah.
24:40
I was I was actually gonna comment on that this
24:42
I I definitely could see more of
24:44
the pray lineage in this than
24:46
than dishonored. Going back to one thing Andy
24:49
was talking about with with the weapons, one important
24:51
thing, just talking to Ricardo about this.
24:53
The weapons have levels
24:55
to them, but it's static roles when
24:57
they drop. So what you get is what
24:59
you get. You're not gonna be able to upgrade. Like,
25:01
if I I find a gun that I think is really cool, but
25:03
say it's at a level seven, I'm not gonna be able
25:05
grade it to a level fifteen and keep
25:07
it. I'm gonna have to find that same weapon
25:10
again at at that level. So I
25:12
think that kind of built in to encourage
25:14
you obviously to wanna replay and keep playing
25:16
because you're gonna wanna get higher
25:18
and better weapon drops as you go
25:20
along. So I'm
25:23
okay with that, but
25:25
I kinda wish there was some type of
25:27
crafting component to to the
25:29
weaponry. That we had, but I I
25:31
get why they didn't do it in in this this
25:33
type of game. And they do obviously have
25:36
sort of building
25:38
out your skill tree, which
25:40
I wasn't able to mess around with a whole lot.
25:42
Again, I just I wish we have, like, two
25:44
more hours of this because I was I was having fun
25:46
and I wanted to find more of that fun. I just
25:48
kind of felt like I was rushed
25:51
a little bit and that was likely
25:53
due to me just kind of farting
25:55
around in the main sort of fire department probably
25:57
a bit too much talking to the MPCs. I should have
25:59
gone out there and and I should have said yes to
26:01
adventure, Mike. Yes. What sort of how
26:03
did you sort of see your skill
26:05
trees? What sort of opportunities did you see
26:07
there? What's what were some things you could have been
26:09
like, oh, I wish I could upgrade to this one,
26:11
you know. I will fully admit
26:13
for me, and they even when we're playing, they
26:16
kinda encouraged it. Like, hey, we only
26:18
had a limited amount of time. Don't waste too
26:20
much time worrying about the skill tree. So I just
26:22
kind of blindly threw some stuff in there
26:24
and just ran out and, you know, because I wanted
26:26
to experience as much of the actual Gamescast as
26:28
I possibly could. But the the
26:30
little bit I I did see and remember
26:33
of the skill tree. I mean, it's it's seeing, you know,
26:35
like, there's gonna be a lot of variety to it. And
26:37
obviously, again, going back to the we're
26:39
talking to Ricardo, that's part of it where
26:41
you're gonna be playing. You're gonna wanna
26:43
max all that out as you play.
26:45
So as you get more experience, as you start leveling
26:48
up, you're gonna be encouraged to want, you know,
26:50
to to upgrade that skill tree so you can maximize
26:52
all the special abilities that you're gonna have for
26:54
each
26:55
character. Yeah. III was
26:57
similar to you guys, you know, just quickly put
26:59
points in, but I wanted to make sure I touched
27:01
on all my abilities. Right? And so I actually
27:03
focused more on just two out of
27:05
the three. I focused on my elevator jump
27:07
and I was able to reduce the cool down
27:09
and actually do two in the row.
27:11
So that was really nice of, like, throw one out,
27:13
then immediately throw another one out. And I was hopping
27:16
on rooftops. I was hopping over enemies. I
27:18
thought that was really fun. I look forward to being able
27:20
to do that. And maybe, you know, annoyed
27:22
my fellow teammates like Andy with that
27:24
mechanic. I think it's pretty fun. And also,
27:26
I jumped into the boyfriend, the companion,
27:28
making sure he stayed out longer did
27:30
more damage or had, more health. I thought that was really
27:33
cool, but I am excited to see more
27:35
with that than what you can do and kind of personalize
27:37
your
27:38
experience. Yeah. And seeing that brings up
27:40
one other thing, again, going back to the fact that
27:42
we couldn't do co op because that that's
27:44
part of it, like, with Jacob, with with Stealth,
27:46
as you upgrade his skills, not
27:48
only can I make myself invisible, I can make all
27:50
my teammates invisible at at the same time?
27:52
Right? So if I still
27:54
have a question when when I I
27:56
think about this game is how
27:59
are the different skills going
28:01
to kind of synergize and compliment each
28:03
other and and co op setting, you know, again, talk
28:05
I'll talk to Ricardo about that little bit. That's
28:07
kind of the point of when you are playing four
28:10
player co op is that these abilities
28:12
can work together so that you can solve
28:14
the various scenarios that you you're in in a
28:16
unique way. So I'm I'm excited to see that.
28:18
I do wish we had that opportunity
28:21
during the preview, but unfortunately, you
28:22
know, like I said, it was only single player. Yeah.
28:24
I actually spoke with Ricardo about that, and
28:26
he kinda giggled. He said, you know, we've seen some
28:28
of the playtesters on the
28:29
team, all be Leila, and throw bunch of elevator
28:32
in front of a doorway -- Yeah. -- that everybody got
28:34
stuck, or you could all be Jacob. Right?
28:36
Everybody can use their invisibility, and
28:38
then one uses their visibility. And you can
28:41
just keep doing that as much as you want.
28:43
And I think that's a cool one as well. We kinda talk
28:45
about these co op games, but
28:47
having heroes at the forefront and you choosing
28:49
them, you know, it's all up to us
28:51
on what we wanna be. It's and I said it's like,
28:53
hey, if I'm Layla, that means Pairs can't be
28:55
Layla. Right? He can be it if he wants to be. And
28:57
we all can choose the same character. It was
28:59
cool talking with Ricardo of the more
29:02
time you spend with another person, that
29:04
bond of your characters grows and you'll actually
29:06
get an expanded dialogue out of
29:08
that. I thought that was really cool because a big
29:10
one me and Paresh have touched on on the ex cat
29:12
side of things is what does co
29:14
op look like is it untethered?
29:17
Can I jump out and all my story progress
29:19
come through? We've talked about that at
29:22
length at the XCast. And so it was
29:24
interesting of, like, the more time you spend with a
29:26
certain person in their profile, the more
29:28
dialogue you're gonna get out of the two of you. So
29:30
I thought that was really fun. Sure I'm we're gonna
29:33
hear a bunch of the same dialogue, but it is cool
29:35
to be like, oh, there's levels to that and you're gonna
29:37
get more layers. I thought that was pretty interesting and
29:39
the players grow with each other and your characters
29:41
grow together. That was really, really cool. For
29:43
me, I really liked this or the vampire
29:45
nest. I thought that was a really interesting gameplay
29:48
mechanic. It's really cool to see. I
29:50
walked into a movie theater and actually
29:52
turned off the movie theater, it screen itself.
29:54
Mhmm. And then you walk through the screen to go
29:56
into the vampire nest, which was really, really
29:59
fun and interesting. And then on top
30:01
of that, like I said, you fight through this
30:03
small you know, we'll call it arena
30:05
types situation from point a to
30:07
point b. But at the end, when you actually
30:09
kill the zone or the vampire heart and shut
30:11
down the nest, it starts to
30:13
collapse, and it gives you a small timer of, like,
30:15
you have two and a half minutes to get out, but
30:17
there's five loop caches if you
30:19
wanna go grab them try to get as
30:21
much as you can before it collapses or
30:23
else you lose everything. And I thought that was really
30:25
fun of, like, the risk reward. How
30:27
much am I gonna sit here? I'm sure with
30:29
four people, I'm sure everybody will split off and
30:31
get their own. But with one person, I felt
30:33
like the agency of, like, let me go grab
30:35
as many as I could or what time
30:37
should I leave? I thought that was really cool. interesting
30:40
one to reward players for putting in the
30:42
work on this side stuff. Like, there's
30:44
the main story, but there's a lot of content
30:46
with side missions and just dynamic
30:49
HandsOn events and these vampire nets
30:51
to go do and spend some time in.
30:53
And there may be some variety with
30:55
the with the vampire nest. I was
30:58
a bit underwhelmed with them, and
31:00
that's why I'm hoping they're is variety with
31:02
them because I'm hoping that they
31:04
have sort of different mechanics because as
31:06
as we just saw in the camera, the b roll that Barrett
31:08
is showing, there's a moment where you see
31:11
a big heart that's sort of powering this
31:13
vampire nest. And there
31:16
are like three or four people
31:18
attach them. And you have to go detach these
31:20
people from the heart and then destroy the
31:22
heart. And when that
31:24
happened, I expected, oh, it's about to go
31:26
down. And, like, nothing happened
31:29
after that. And so
31:31
I guess my my issue with the vampire
31:34
nest was, like, It never
31:36
quite felt like in the three
31:38
or two that I visited, like,
31:40
oh, this is almost like don't wanna
31:42
compare it to Destiny, but Destiny is fresh in the mind.
31:44
This is like a a
31:45
striker. I mean, not even that. It's a very,
31:48
very short. Right? was expecting more
31:50
of
31:50
a loss loss sector.
31:51
Yeah. Exactly. I was expecting, like, a bit
31:54
more of of some
31:56
sort of encounter with enemies. And
31:58
when I got there, I didn't I did appreciate
32:00
the sort of mechanic of there's
32:03
one vampire sort of tethered with
32:05
his mind to a lot of other vampires
32:07
And if you shoot the vampire while the tether is up, everybody
32:10
gets alerted, but you can kill it when the
32:12
in the small amount of time that the tether is down.
32:14
And then you can kind of go take out everybody
32:17
else without alerting the whole horde. But
32:19
when I say whole horde, there was maybe
32:21
three in there. So, like, I didn't know
32:23
if, like, am I going in here? What
32:26
do the developers want me to go in here to
32:29
get the loot at the end? Or the developers want
32:31
me to go in here to expect some sort of
32:33
boss fight. I wasn't sure what they were trying to,
32:35
like, have me do in there
32:37
whether it's, like, hey, this is a big loot
32:39
cache that you can go get go treat
32:42
yourself
32:42
or, hey, go in here for a really cool encounter
32:45
and then get rewarded for it. Let's
32:47
see. I guess I would throw
32:49
in and didn't I didn't ask this question I should
32:51
have. It does make me wonder to your point about
32:53
there only being a few vampires when you're
32:55
in the nest. Does the time of day matter?
32:58
Because of the whole point of the nest is during the day,
33:00
that's where the vampires are going to go literally
33:02
go nest to go sleep. So if you go
33:04
in there during the day, Are there ton vampires
33:06
in there? Is there not? I mean, that obviously,
33:08
that's another gameplay mechanic that
33:10
we need to understand if if it's going to be a
33:12
part of the overall
33:13
game. To slightly shift
33:16
this. Yeah.
33:16
Let's start shifting because we don't have much time. Right.
33:18
Right. We don't have enough enough time. So
33:21
the main objective that that you do
33:23
you know, have to complete, you know, from the story standpoint.
33:26
I I was able, you know, to finish it and then
33:28
time allotted. But my question to YouTube,
33:31
the first time you encountered the rook,
33:33
which is a boss character in in the
33:35
game, were you able to take him out or did he take
33:37
out?
33:38
I got killed by something else asked
33:40
for spawning. Yeah. Oh,
33:42
I get
33:43
by the lightning bolts. They they have they
33:45
have these watcher sort of vampires
33:47
that are, like, guards,
33:49
right, which are it's neat because they are one shot,
33:52
one kill, they die. Right? But if they're alerted,
33:54
then they are not one shot, one kill. They are just like
33:56
they're up forever. And the mechanic
33:58
that's happening in this world, the
34:01
more sort of like I
34:03
don't wanna that almost like Oh,
34:06
gosh. Like a nemesis system, you're killing
34:09
these more sort of highly thought of
34:11
vampires in the vampire world. The more
34:13
of those that you're killing, you are raising
34:15
a bar that's continuously going
34:17
up and then once that bar is filled, then
34:20
this enemy the rook comes down. Never
34:22
saw it pairs again because this watcher as
34:24
I as I had fully brought
34:26
out the Rook, the watcher thing killed me,
34:29
and then it, like, reset me. So I never got
34:31
to see it, unfortunately. What was it like? How was it?
34:34
It wet my ass first couple times till
34:36
I figured out exactly what you're supposed to
34:38
do. And and this is and I played just
34:41
as another aside I I played on
34:43
standard difficulty. I did give
34:45
you the option of changing the difficulty. And
34:48
I didn't think it was overwhelmingly hard,
34:50
but it did make me stop and have to think about
34:52
what was doing. You know, I did have to apply some
34:54
strategy, you know, to be able to eventually
34:56
take it out. I did use the fact that if Jacob,
34:58
that was one of the times, I use Jacob's, you know,
35:00
stealth's ability to go invisible. But
35:03
I I thought it was enjoyable. I thought
35:05
being a part of the the main story and then obviously
35:08
just the puzzle elements when to go in the house
35:10
and and have to kind of unravel that mystery
35:12
of what's happening there. It was interesting to
35:15
me. It it does and again, this is
35:17
why I say I'm excited and intrigued. For the
35:19
final game because if this is
35:21
just like kind of the first encounter,
35:23
what it how diverse are the other ones
35:25
going to be are they really gonna change it
35:27
up? Is this really gonna engage me? There's there's
35:29
vampire gods that you're eventually going
35:31
to encounter as boss characters? I wanna
35:33
see how all that plays out
35:34
too. Yeah. That's what I'm looking
35:37
forward to is, you know, we've gotten a small slice
35:39
and it was nice little taste of the early
35:41
game. Right? But then once we see the bigger
35:43
picture, how much is this?
35:45
How much fun can we have in this
35:47
world? And how long will that fun last? Right?
35:49
I think a lot of people getting burnt out on these
35:51
giant open world games by doing this same
35:54
mission over and over again or maybe
35:56
they see the same encounters over and over again.
35:58
What has this team at Arcan done
36:01
to really excite us forty
36:03
hours into this
36:04
experience. That
36:05
that brings me if we wanna just kinda jump in
36:07
the negative
36:07
Yeah. Let's jump into that. That would be my
36:09
negative. That would be my concern. First
36:11
and foremost, one thing that they talk
36:13
that talking Ricardo about was
36:15
just the co op aspect of it. Mhmm.
36:18
And and because remember, what have we been talking about in
36:20
the next cast forever? I asked him directly. How
36:22
the hell does co op work? How does it work from
36:24
a story standpoint? If I'm bringing in two
36:26
of my buddies, you know, are
36:28
they getting or is there progress being saved? Or
36:30
are they losing it how does that work? And he explained
36:33
that your your experience, like
36:35
you're leveling up your character, that will
36:37
obviously carry over no matter where you play,
36:39
but your the story elements do not.
36:42
So if you wanna play the story from start to finish,
36:44
you're gonna have to start your own story for,
36:46
you know, that to do do it from start to finish
36:49
or that won't carry over. One
36:51
good thing, maybe not good thing, depending
36:54
on how you wanna look at it is, let's say, I'm
36:56
a level ten. Three of us are level
36:58
ten. Mike comes in. He's a level two.
37:01
The game will not be forgiving
37:03
for him. It will not scale for him being
37:05
at a level two. It will scale
37:07
to us being at level ten. But you will
37:10
progress quickly to kinda quote unquote catch
37:12
up to where we are. But
37:14
saying all that yeah. I know he will. But
37:17
saying all that where where I'm concerned,
37:19
if I have a concern, it is going to
37:21
be, sure. I
37:23
can play through all characters. I can level all
37:25
four of them up. can do the story multiple
37:27
times. But to your point, Mike, how repetitive
37:30
is this really going to get? How how dynamic
37:32
and diverse is this open world going to be?
37:34
How much time am I really gonna wanna
37:37
invest after a few runs
37:39
with my buddies getting maxed out
37:42
what's the incentive to bring me back? You know,
37:44
are the boss encounter still gonna be the same? Are
37:46
the dynamic events of the world still being the
37:48
same? You know, the fact that the weapon drops
37:51
are static, that that's almost like an
37:53
artificial way to keep me coming
37:55
back because there's certain weapons
37:57
I wanna get. I'm gonna have to you know,
37:59
r and g, the whole thing that goes along with that, you
38:01
know, bring in the destiny term. But that
38:04
would be my concern. Like, I playing
38:07
this preview, I I guarantee you that
38:09
first month, we're gonna we're gonna freaking love
38:11
this. I I can tell already. But
38:14
am I loving it in June, July, August
38:16
on down the road? Is there enough replayability
38:19
there to keep me coming back to him? We
38:21
clearly will not know. Until we
38:23
get the co op because we didn't get to experience
38:25
that. We only played single player.
38:27
Yeah. To me, I think this is a beat
38:30
at once and maybe help my friends
38:32
beat the well. Like, I don't yeah.
38:34
I don't foresee myself kind of playing this
38:36
in the long run. I do feel like it is
38:38
gonna be a campaign style game for
38:40
me where I might lose myself and kind
38:42
of do a lot more extra things
38:44
because maybe I'm just I'm just having fun
38:46
and I'm enjoying the Gamescast But I don't
38:48
really see myself playing this in a
38:51
more sort of long term way.
38:54
I wanted to bring up the
38:57
really quickly, the
39:00
Lost my train of thought. Neurocrine? That's alright.
39:02
That's just Neurocrine. Of course, in the future,
39:04
just so everybody knows out there, they have announced that there
39:07
will be two more heroes joining the you
39:09
can look forward to that in the future when we talk about
39:11
longevity. Paris, I wanna talk about
39:13
you and I, while Andy thinks of
39:14
his thought, We'll have a little bit of time. Just
39:18
a quick thing to
39:20
kind of respond to Barrett about, like, the this
39:23
is this is an arcane game
39:25
and you kind of expect certain things
39:27
from the developer. They they were
39:29
very upfront with that in the beginning of the presentation
39:32
saying, Yes. Because this is an
39:34
arcane game, expect to
39:36
be able to do multiple things to
39:39
expect many solutions for just one thing.
39:42
Right? Like, if you're trying to get into a place,
39:44
there's gonna be a lot of different ways to
39:46
do that. It's not just always gonna be super
39:48
linear and straightforward. There are many
39:50
ways to scan the cat to be
39:52
really gross and awful. But, like, Yeah,
39:55
that's one thing to kind of expect from an arcane
39:58
game. So I think the DNA of what
40:00
you'd expect is still gonna be there.
40:03
Yeah. Like that. Wanna talk about the things that
40:05
we learned quickly from Ricardo as
40:07
well. Of course, I asked him, is this
40:09
a Tethr co op experience. Right? Coming
40:11
hot off of your Xbox fans, halo
40:13
infinite and learning about the tether and
40:15
what that tether system really is. This is an
40:18
untethered experience. So of course, I I had
40:20
to dive a little bit deeper and go, what does
40:22
that mean? Can me and Andy start doing
40:24
separate missions? And they said, yes. YouTube
40:26
can do different missions as long as they're different
40:28
types of missions. So Andy can be progressing
40:31
the story. While I do side missions,
40:33
I can go jump into a vampire
40:35
nest if I want to. They did state,
40:37
hey, like Paresh said before, like the world
40:39
is gonna be buffed up with multiple of you
40:41
in there. So if you go off alone, it's
40:43
not gonna be easy, but you're more than welcome
40:46
to just start running off on your own. They
40:48
do believe that this will be a shared experience.
40:50
You won't they think the outliers will be,
40:53
like, me running away from Andy. They think everything
40:55
will be together, which is how you should be playing.
40:57
Don't run off by
40:58
yourself. Oh, is that awesome?
40:59
Know. I would say, yeah, you can. Do that. Exactly.
41:02
Stick with your homies. Right? Another one
41:04
they talked about was, of course, I asked
41:06
them about the nest because there is multiple
41:09
loading grains in this game. Right? You load
41:11
to go into the firehouse. You load
41:13
to go into the vampire nest. And I
41:15
wanted to know, well, if I'm going into a different
41:17
instance, what happens with my friends
41:19
outside? Are they getting pulled into this?
41:22
What does that look like if they're off and
41:24
about? Right? And they said when someone
41:26
starts a vampire nest in particular,
41:28
the other players will receive a pop up
41:30
that will ask them to move towards the nest
41:32
location. So I don't think they actually get pulled
41:34
into it, but they will be cited like, hey,
41:37
Mike is gonna go in here. You might wanna
41:39
come with him. So I thought that was interesting of, like,
41:41
this is truly untethered. You're running
41:43
off, doing whatever you want, which is pretty interesting
41:46
to me on that
41:46
side. And I don't oh, go ahead,
41:48
Bruce. No. No. Please. Please. Go ahead. I was just gonna
41:50
say I don't really foresee any benefit
41:53
of the untethered Gamescast. Like, I think
41:55
it's a neat thing to show off TechWise,
41:57
but I don't see how that benefits
41:59
anybody because it's not like if Paris goes
42:02
off that in in my world
42:04
that's none of that's gonna save for him. He's
42:06
not really benefiting off of that
42:08
all he's doing is kind of progressing my world.
42:11
But maybe that maybe that's the goal. Maybe you're
42:13
just kind of leveling up one person's game.
42:15
It does seem like kind of like
42:17
a feature that won't fully be
42:19
utilized, but it's there if you want it.
42:21
But and that actually leads perfectly into the point
42:23
I was gonna bring up No
42:26
no matchmaking for the co op.
42:28
Yes. No matchmaking.
42:29
Which I think actually makes a lot
42:31
of sense for this kind of game to the exact point
42:33
of what you're making, Andy. I don't wanna
42:36
be in game with a bunch of random dudes that decided
42:38
they're just gonna go rogue and they're
42:40
off doing their own thing. I I wanna
42:42
play with people that I know so that
42:44
we can coordinate and communicate and do
42:46
it the right way. I understand some people
42:48
won't be a fan of that. They're gonna want some kind
42:50
of matchmaking component. Hell, I've been,
42:52
you know, bringing destiny into it again. That's been an
42:54
argument for, you know, high level activities, you
42:56
know, for nine years at this point. So
42:59
I get it that some people are
43:01
gonna want it playing this and
43:03
thinking about it, being the untether world that
43:05
it is, I I get it.
43:07
Makes sense. One other point before
43:09
I forget He
43:11
he also mentioned about
43:14
we asked about the the always online
43:16
because, you know, people have been talking about that from single
43:18
player standpoint. They are
43:20
looking at it to see if it
43:22
is possible that they can decouple
43:25
that. So there is an offline single player
43:27
experiential promises but they they've
43:29
heard the feedback and they are looking at it
43:31
to see if there's something they can
43:33
do. One last quick bit of feedback.
43:35
Yeah. I In
43:38
the small time that I had with with
43:40
Dying Light two, I found Dying Light
43:42
two's world to be a bit
43:44
more dynamic than what
43:46
I was experiencing here. And
43:49
I don't know if that's Again,
43:51
we up we also have the date night cycle there, which
43:53
is kind of interesting. But I
43:56
I felt like I was able
43:58
to find more things to go
44:00
explore. There's a there's also a mechanic
44:02
called the Mist in this game
44:04
-- Mhmm. -- which you see Red
44:06
Mist, you know that that Red Mist is coming
44:08
from a certain source, and it's gonna be this little
44:10
statue that you have to destroy. And
44:13
I found areas, collars with
44:15
a lot of red mist, and I'm going, okay, what is this
44:18
red mist covering? What what is it
44:20
hiding? Let me go find these statues.
44:22
The red misheard, so you can't stand in it for
44:24
a long time. But if you show the statues,
44:26
it'll go away. What is it hiding? And I found
44:29
nothing that after killing
44:31
like these three statues. And I was like,
44:33
surely there's supposed to be something here.
44:36
That the red missiles like maybe a little treasure
44:38
chest or a loot box. So I found that a
44:40
bit disappointing. There there was instances
44:43
where the red miss was hiding
44:45
like an NPCI think, in one spot.
44:47
But I was a bit disappointed by that one
44:50
encounter. Yeah. That's
44:52
kind of all I have there on the Mist mechanic.
44:55
I'm not sure how that's gonna be fully
44:57
utilized in the when
44:59
the actual game comes out, but hopefully,
45:02
I we they see some improvements
45:04
there. Let's see. I'll I'll HandsOn to that.
45:06
That's where I I wanna
45:08
remain optimistic about it, but can
45:10
also be a concern to what you're saying, Andy,
45:13
in that. That's the appeal
45:15
of the open world. I hope that my
45:17
ex exploration and my going off the
45:19
beaten path is rewarded. That
45:21
there are secrets in there, that there's
45:23
special weapon drops, that I can
45:25
only find if, you know, if I actually
45:27
put in that effort to go explore and
45:29
these things like the red mist to encourage
45:32
me to wanna go do things that aren't
45:34
involved with the main story. So so that's kind
45:36
of my optimistic hope on that. We obviously,
45:38
to your point earlier, did not get it
45:41
way anywhere near enough time. Playing
45:43
it. So there's still a lot of questions about
45:46
it. But but at a surface level, things like
45:48
that give give me hope that there's definitely
45:50
a lot of depth to the open world
45:52
of
45:54
Really good aim assist as well in controller.
45:57
There you go. You're ready to jump
45:59
