Today’s guest is Kenya McGuire Johnson - who’s music has charted in the US's Billboard Urban Adult Contemporary charts, the Top 50 Smooth Jazz independent charts and top 10 on the independent UK Soul Chart in which her previous album My Own Skin (2015) reached the #1 spot for four consecutive weeks.  Steve has known Kenya now for over 10 years as he has booked her for a music festival or two, but he shares having learned an interesting fact that he learned from the stage while introducing her the last time.  Kenya  shares candidly about having considered herself depressed as she looked for meaning.  She shared how counseling helped and how she looked to her spirituality and God to get her back into the music game.  We wonder aloud about what we believe live music will be like after the pandemic.  We learn about Kenya's work in helping other artists develop and we are treated to a few of her songs in this episode.
