Дискусія про ідеології, ідеали та амбіції, які мають вплив на роботу з громадськістю. Учасниці: Світлана Осипчук, Джессіка Зихович, Вікторія Науменко, Дар’я Цимбалюк. Світлана Осіпчук – історикиня, викладає в Київському політехнічному інституті. Один з прикладів її роботи з громадськістю – це серія освітних проєктів, присвячених пам’яті про Голокост в Україні. Протягом останніх двох років вона є контент-кураторкою Донбас медіа форуму. Доктор Джессіка Зихович – авторка і кураторка, яка крізь призму гендерних інтерпретацій досліджує історію в місцях пам’яті, міграції і насилля/травми. Джессіка досліджує, консультує, викладає і публікує в феміністичних колах спільнот декількох поколінь та хвиль українських іммігрант_ок у Канаду. На даний час перебуває на стипендії в Альбертському університеті. Її монографія “Зайві жінки. Мистецтво, активізм і фемінізм в Україні 21 ст.“ (Superfluous Women: Feminism, Art, and Revolution in 21st-Century Ukraine) опублікована в Toronto University Press у 2020 році. З березня 2021 Джессіка очолює офіс Програми імені Фулбрайта в Україні. Вікторія Науменко – співзасновниця ГО Інститут соціальних стратегій та ініціатив, наукова співробітниця документального та освітнього проекту «Soviet Survivors of Nazi Rule: The First Testimonies” координаторка від України освітніх проектів Міжнародного освітнього центру м. Дортмунд. Менеджерка проекту «Вільча – переселене село», що об’єднав молодь з України та Німеччини для вивчення вимушеного переселення з Чорнобильської зони та зони АТО на прикладі селища Вільча. Дар’я Цимбалюк - дослідниця і мисткиня, яка працює з темами міграції та довкілля. Найскравішим прикладом її роботи з людьми є проєкт “Одіссея Донбас”, який вона заснувала разом з Юлією Філіп’євою та Віктором Засипкіним в 2015 році. "Одіссея Донбасс” розповідає історії про міста Луганської та Донецької областей через інтервенції в публічний простір та виставки, і серед інших місць проєкт був представлений в Мистецькому Арсеналі (2016), на Одеській бієналє сучасного мистецтва (2017), на Фестивалі Міграційних Наративів в Ізмірі (2018) та Театрі Баєр в Сент-Андрюсі ̈ (2019). Зараз Дар’я працює над PhD дослідженням, а також разом з Катериною Возницею, Віктором Засипкіним, Юлею Сердюковою та командою - над анімаційним фільмом “Сад переїхав.” Цей епізод – частина серії подкастів, створених в рамках воркшопу "Slavic Studies Goes Public: Creating an ECR Network in the Public Humanities", проведеного в Університеті Сент-Андрюс, Шотландія в 2020 за підтримки фінансування Британської академії.

Doing Things with People
A Ukrainian language discussion of the ideologies, ideals, and ambitions that inform work with public audiences with Svitlana Osipchuk, Viktoria Naumenko, Darya Tsymbalyuk and Jessica Zychowcz. Svitlana Osipchuk is a lecturer in history at Kyiv Polytechnic Institute. One of the examples of her public engagement work is a series of projects in public education dedicated to memory of the Holocaust in Ukraine. For the past two years she has also been involved with the Donbas Media Forum as a content curator. Dr. Jessica Zychowicz is an author and curator who looks through the lens of gender interpretations of history in places of memory, migration, and violence / trauma. She is interested in deconstructing the concepts of the "diaspora" and is currently advising on a large-scale project of communities of several generations and waves of Ukrainian immigrants to Canada. She is currently a postdoctoral scholar at the University of Alberta, Canada. Her monograph Superfluous Women: Feminism, Art, and Revolution in 21st-Century Ukraine was published in Toronto University Press in 2020. Victoria Naumenko is a co-founder of the Institute of Social Strategies and Initiatives, a researcher of the documentary and educational project "Soviet Survivors of Nazi Rule: The First Testimonies", coordinator of Ukrainian educational projects of the International Education Center in Dortmund. Manager of the project "Vilcha - resettled village", which brought together young people from Ukraine and Germany to study forced resettlement from the Chernobyl zone and the ATO zone on the example of the village of Vilcha. Daria Tsymbalyuk is a researcher and artist working on migration and the environment. She is a co-founder, along with Yulia Filipieva and Viktor Zasypkin of the project Donbas Odyssey which tells stories about the cities of Luhansk and Donetsk regions through interventions in public space and exhibitions. The project has been notably presented at Art Arsenal (2016), the Odessa Biennale of Contemporary Art (2017), the Festival of Migration Narratives in Izmir ( 2018) and the Bayer Theater in St. Andrews ̈ (2019). She is currently a PhD candidate at the University of St. Andrews, as well as a collaborator, along with Kateryna Voznytsia, Viktor Zasypkin, and Yulia Serdyukova on the forthcoming animated film “The Garden Has Moved.” This episode is part of a podcast series which emerged from the British Academy-funded 2020 workshop "Slavic Studies Goes Public: Creating an ECR Network in the Public Humanities" at the University of St Andrews, Scotland.
