In this podcast, Creating the person you're meant to be with Nick Connor, Nick shares his story about being a pro baseball player that reached his peak and had to make a change. What would that transition look like? In Nick's case, he ended up taking a job in door to door sales selling security systems in residential neighborhoods.

Nick talks about the complexities in life and business. In baseball, one can be a really good player but as they progress in the game, they face other players who are also advancing in the game. In his case, the complexity of hitting a 95 MPH babseball with movement was too complex.

In business, we are encouraged to grow. What we may not calculate is what is underneath, below the surface. In sales, we need to deal with rejection. Rejection is not something that any of us desire. Just like in baseball after a bad game, players are encouraged and coached to put that game behind them and to keep moving forward. The same can be true with sales. There are bad days and you have to keep sticking with it.
