National Keynote Speakers and Published Authors, Scott Murray and Angel Carlton, kick off their Leadership America podcast with former Heisman Trophy Winner, NFL Pro Bowler and College Football Hall of Fame running back, Herschel Walker.

Walker, who was valedictorian of his graduating high school class, then went on to the University of Georgia where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice Studies, has been a multi-sport athlete for decades. Herschel was a State Champion in both football and track and field in High School and NCAA National Champion in College. He joined the USFL in 1983, playing for the New Jersey Generals, before moving to the NFL, where he was a Pro Bowl selection in back to back seasons with the Dallas Cowboys. In addition to football, he was on the U.S Olympic Bobsled Team in 1992, is a Mixed Martial Arts expert, and, has a 5th degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. In 1988, while a member of the Cowboys, he danced with the Fort Worth Ballet for a single performance. He won back-to-back American Superstars competitions in 1987 and 1988, and is presently a member of the President’s Fitness Council. Most recently, Herschel was a guest speaker at the 2020 Republican National Convention. Herschel also owns three businesses, including being the largest minority-owned chicken business owner in the United States.

In this two-part interview, we'll share with you the life of one of the greatest running backs in the history of football, Herschel Walker. “I always want to be the best” has been his mantra since Day 1. Herschel tells of his commitment and drive to live up to his full potential in everything he takes part in, be it education, athletics, or, in life. The inspirational perspectives Herschel shares throughout this interview are what so many of us need to be reminded of every single day.
