At the age of 16, Genecia experienced horrible incidents of bullying at school. Soon after, she tried to commit suicide. Her mother’s words: “Turn your mess into a message” gave her a wake-up call and she carried those words throughout her life to make choices that empower rather than bring her down. She decided that business is a way to put yourself out into the world, and that leadership is about much more than a way to earn money. It’s a way to develop new skills and get started on a life’s journey. Genecia is a way to make change happen. Today she’s a millionaire, a purpose-driven woman and her principal of the 5 f words are something I really love.
