Pip Hancox is the frontman for Guana Batz   a Psychobilly band formed in 1982 when he was just a teenager. Next to his love for music is also his love for all things with wheels. The Subaru conversion in an air-cooled VW is in my opinion the equivalent to the LS Conversion to the V8. Ed Fox's bare metal bus debuted at the VW classic with a twist. Being in bare metal he thought it only fitting to make a splash with a few bondage girls in the back. Chase Hill out of Reno Nevada is known for helping you get a good ride out of your slammed VW. Chase started out making custom wheel tubs for buses. Being a Union ironworker by trade he welds for a living. With loving slammed early bugs he used his talent to extend the trailing arms for re-centering the wheel in the arch. It also fixes the steering issues with 6" narrowed beams on super slammed beetles. He's been in the game from way back in the late 90's. And like a fine wine he will not extend your trailing arms before their time. Gary Emory is the son of Famed Hot Rod Builder Neil Emory. His first job was at Chick Iverson VW Porsche. He couldn't afford a Manx so he didi the next best thing. Troy Wheeler and I met in 2001 at the Crown Plaza in the infamous parking lot. He and his friends had driven down from Idaho in their buses. Im sure you've seen one of his cars. Troy had been in the bus game for quite some years. His first feature car was on 97 in VW Trends Red & Black Camper called "Summer Fun". After that bus found its way to Japan. He hit the streets in his "Road Dog" buses. You may remember the "Nurburgring safety double cab". He's always had a unique style. Hanging at Volkstock ran into my friend Jarrett Lemley. He first debut his 1965 Double cab in 2011 at the VW Classic. It was different to say the least. With a Turbo engine deluxe trim, cookie cutters and a walkthrough. Then in HVW Dec 2013 his 1964 Notch back with 17" porsche wheels & 911 Flat six engine. We talk about building cars debut a new build and how the people react.
