How do we avoid having meltdowns over things we cannot control? Self-awareness people.This guy is no different than the rest of us. This can happen to any of us if we aren’t self-aware enough to recognize the warning signs.

Be self-aware of your emotions. When you’re in a bad place, you need to recognize it and be proactive about changing that feeling. You can’t get anything done in that state. Before you deal with any problem you have to be in the right frame of mind.16:39 – Beware technology, especially first thing in the morning18:29 – Write everything down that’s bothering you/needs to be done. Empty your brain, get it out of your head and onto paper. From that list, figure out which need to be done now, done by someone else or not done at all and are just there.22:42 - Planning ahead and sticking to that plan. Use a daily planner. When planning your time for a project, factor in problems and fatigue. Figure in extra time for the bull-crap. Have an efficient way of dealing with deadlines. (This is something we will go into detail next episode) Stick with your routine. Don’t allow your feeling of being overwhelmed take you off your game. Old habits creep in when you feel overwhelmed.
