If you are like most entrepreneurs you strive for perfection that what we do. But how does striving for perfection hold you bad from making progress?

I know from personal experience that I have run into this wall many times throughout my life.

John Beaman and I go deep on issues that small businesses run into every day.

As you listen to this episode you will hear how I run into many issues recording this interview. This was the first interview using my new Rodecaster mixer and new Rode Podmic and my new software Logic.

I could have edited the hell our this episode and made it perfect but I wanted to use this as an example of how shit happens every day that we have to deal with and we will get through it.

Enjoy the conversation. Make sure to leave your comments and share.

Meet John Beaman

John grew up in southeast Wisconsin and moved to Texas as a young adult where he currently serves as President of The McGraw Council Membership, Inc., also known as The McGraw Council. Beaman attended Liberty University for his undergraduate degree in Business Administration: Economics where he graduated summa cum laude and dually enrolled in Liberty’s Master of Business Administration: Leadership program where he graduated with high distinction. During his MBA, John also attended Leadership Rockwall and joined the Class of 2018 in their community project of building computer resource stations for three nonprofits in Rockwall County.

During his time in college, John helped start, build, and sell a small landscaping business based in Rockwall County and upon graduating from the MBA program at Liberty University, he began working in the merchant services industry with Merchant Masters, a family-owned business, because of his passion for helping others, especially in an industry where there is much promised yet little provided. John played a pivotal role in the organization’s success and presence in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex as the company continues to expand across the country.

After a successful two years in DFW, John was asked to serve as President of The McGraw Council, a nonprofit organization built to educate, serve, and unite small businesses across the United States. The McGraw Council seeks to provide education with actionable content, serve the small business community through various aspects, and unite the small business community to a level that has never been seen before so that all small businesses across the United States may be heard, have a voice, and achieve their American Dream.

John resides in the City of Heath, a small city in the DFW metroplex with a history dating back to 1840, where he also serves on the City Council. John was first elected to the city council in 2018 and is the youngest recorded member of the city council in the city’s rich history. Additionally, John volunteers in his spare time with various nonprofits in the North Texas area, especially Rockwall County, and is very active in the Rockwall, Rowlett, and Royse City Chambers of Commerce (where he sits on their board of directors) as well as other business groups in the Lake Ray Hubbard area. John is also a member of Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall and can be found attending the weekly church gatherings in-person or online during the COVID-19 pandemic.
