I really liked this podcast. I thought viewing mass incarceration through the lens of famous hip hop artists, while intriguing, wasn't the best way to get the point across (I think the every day man would have been better), but it was nevertheless and fantastic listen!

I'm a former history teacher, and a total fan of anything dealing with the history of hip hop music, which I did not really grow up listening to, although I had a sister who was 13 years older than me and was a West Coast rap fan. I love the time spent to dig deeply and honestly into the interconnection of hip-hop music, and the prison industrial complex. It's definitely a topic that I discussed in my classroom, so this is fabulous!
