🗣In this episode, Mimi will talk to us about her childhood dreams and her passion for coffee. ☕️

Mimi was born and raised in Ethiopia 🇪🇹, in Africa.  As a child, she would often visit her grandmother in the countryside and learned how to pick the best coffee beans from her grandma's gardens 🌳. She would roast the beans, prepare the best cup of coffee with the rest of her family, and would enjoy her homemade product for hours, while also building priceless memories.

🇺🇸Mimi came to Mount Kisco in her teens and always dreamt of opening a coffee house🏚. All she wanted in life was to create a warm and cozy environment for her customers; a place where they would enjoy a delicious cup of coffee, while sitting comfortably on a couch, chat with friends, listen to live music and participate in poetry readings.

📆As a young entrepreneur, Mimi first opened an Ethiopian restaurant🍵, and about a year 1/2, ago, she finally launched the coffee house of her dreams, downtown Mount Kisco (NY).

☕️Even though her coffee house is located just a block away from a very renown Coffee Chain, her business is doing really well. Despite the Covid 19 eternal confinement, the restrictions mandated on small businesses, and the fierce competition all around her, Mimi's little coffee shop has risen to the challenge and has become a “must go to” for all the people living or working in the area. 🥰

🙏Today, Mimi finally feels that her dreams came true, and even if her business requires hard work, she has no regret, and knows that her coffee house is where she belongs. 

In this interview, Mimi talks about her business with love and passion. Some may end-up labelling her as an entrepreneur, but to her, she is simply a passionate woman who could not stop dreaming until she finally reached her goals. 

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦Mimi's passion for coffee is also contagious; the people she hires become drawn by her positive energy and her customers keep coming back for more, while enjoying the welcoming and friendly environment that she has created.

In addition to coffee, Mimi also bakes cookies 🍪, croissants 🥐 and muffins 🥮, she purchases scones from local bakeries 🍥, she imports high-quality organic teas 🍵, and she makes homemade smoothies from local ingredients and limited amount of sweets 🧉.
