MY PASTOR MY FRIEND!
As Christian men, we all desire to be led spiritually, but sometimes there is a barrier that we need to split. By becoming a friend to your Pastor, or a leader in the church can enhance your spiritual walk.

I have not called you servants; because the servant knows nothing his lord does: but I have called you my friends; for the things that I have heard of my Father I have made it known to you. John 15:15

Becoming a friend to your Pastor is unique because he needs the connection and so do you. In the local church today, many men seem to be alright with not being friendly to their spiritual leaders.

As men, we like to be able to relate and sometimes be the life of the party. We see the Pastor or church leader as an authority. One we need to act differently around. We have work friends, fishing buddies, and sports guys we draw near to. Notice that our attachment is built on associations, such as sports, work, recreation.

But as Jesus shared with His disciples, He was their friend and by opening up His heart to them. Pastors and church leaders are human also, they likewise need someone to associate with. Very possibly we might be that person who can join in friendship with a Pastor.
