Audrey Marie Hilley lived for the finer things in life. She always dressed well and wanted to be seen and known for having expensive things and a lavish lifestyle. Despite what she wanted, Marie knew she needed more money than what she and her husband Frank were bringing in so she came up with a plan. She took out life insurance policies on her husband, her daughter, and her son at different points throughout her life and also began poisoning them with arsenic. She would end up being charged and convicted of the poisoning murder of Frank Hilley and attempted murder of her daughter Carol. In February 1987, Marie was granted a three-day furlough and disappeared. She was found on February 26th and went into cardiac arrest en route to the hospital, dying from hypothermia and extreme exposure to the elements.
