Teresa is a board certified Sports Physical Therapy Specialist. She attained her Physical Therapy degree from University of Missouri: Columbia, and completed a Sports Physical Therapy Residency at Berkshire Institute in Pennsylvania. She has continued her career in Sports Medicine attaining her certification in Athletic Training and Performance Enhancement in 1996. Teresa is the sport physical therapist for the International Triathlon Union’s (ITU) Sports Development team and remains a member of the U.S. Olympic Sports Medicine team. She has worked and traveled with elite athletic teams both in the United States and abroad including Brazil, Argentina, Hungary, the Netherlands and China. Teresa developed one of the nation’s first credentialed Sports Physical Therapy Residency Programs and remains active in the education of future sports physical therapy specialists. A published author, Teresa remains a frequent lecturer at state and national conferences with topics ranging from sports injury prevention, female athlete triad, emergency management of athletic injury and comprehensive evaluation & treatment of the injured shoulder.
