Lisette Smith is the Chief Operating Officer and a senior advisor to personal wealth clients at The Advisory Group of San Francisco - an independent financial advisory firm that manages $1BN in assets. 

A pioneer of using the Midlife Gap Year in the financial planning process, Lisette authored the firm’s 16-page guide The Midlife Gap Year: How to Take a Break and Still Feel Financially Secure. The guide inspires women business owners and leaders to take a long-term view of their career and life fulfillment. Lisette’s desire to help high-achieving female business owners and leaders plan for breaks stems from lessons learned from her own midlife transition of selling her wealth management firm to spend more time with her son and go back to school. 

Throughout her career, Lisette has been providing comprehensive financial planning and investment advice to female business owners and leaders. Her favorite part is helping her clients explore possibilities in their financial lives and then, over time, seeing the life-changing difference her advice inspired. Lisette is passionate about mentoring women in their careers and volunteering for organizations that provide education and support for women. She is from New England, but has happily adjusted to the Bay Area lifestyle, enjoying biking, wine tasting and all that the West Coast has to offer.
