20 years ago, we all witnessed the birth of REAL comic book filmmaking. When I first saw this movies, I was 21 years old, a life long X-Men fan, since the time I could read I was reading X-Men comic books. In fact the first comic I ever bought was X-Men. And, I think it's fair to says, most of us, grew up with the X-Men, for some of us they were a touchstone in our adolescence. An allegory that perfectly summed up how most of us felt as children and as teenagers, long before geek was chic. When the word nerd didn't quite have the same mass appeal as it does today. With last week marking the 20th anniversary of this ground breaking film, Chris and I(Frank) thought it would be fun to do a little bonus episode for you guys. Now this is the first time we have ever done this, AND I'm a big fan of commentary tracks, so that is what we have for you guys in this episode. So the next time you watch X-Men, throw in some ear buds and join Chris and I. Hell, forget the ear buds, pretend we are telepathically linked and you can hear us in your head, now thats the way you do an X-Men film commentary.
