After tearing his ACL and MCL in 2011, Peterson came back last season and had the second-best rushing season of all time. Peterson reveals how he pulled off the incredible feat, and the even harder goal he hopes to accomplish this season. Then, we talk to Jerome Bettis, who pulverized defenses for years as “The Bus” in Pittsburgh’s backfield before finally winning a Super Bowl (then immediately retiring) in 2006. Both players dish on life in the NFL, how they deal with the pounding punishment running backs take year in and year out, and the surprising ailment they share—and how they cope with it.
