I love the subject matter and love the guests. I am marathoning autistic-created podcasts and MYAB is my fifth...and is the least listenable.
Carol Jean constantly repeats herself, but not in an echolalic way--she uses synonyms and metaphors to say the exact same thing 2-3 different times, and alhough it's absolutely not intentional, it comes off to me as patronizing. I believe it's her way to process information and her own thoughts, but in the next breath she will repeat the entire train of thought in a gentle, leading, semi-whisper, while saying absolutely nothing. No cliff's notes for her information, because when I can focus enough to listen to this hypnotic stream of woo woo, there's very little of actual substance.
When really excited about a concept, volume goes to 11 and the Alabama comes out. It's physically painful.
There are a few (and far between) gems in there from Carol Jean, and a few from guests, which is why I'm still listening.
