In this solo episode I share my mistakes and what i've learned from them in two years of homesteading. My research over the past 15 years has lead me to the fact that our entire infrastructure is built on a house of cards that can topple over at any moment. We recently saw what happened in Texas and how the powers-that-shouldn't-be handled that situation.

Stocking plastic water bottles in the garage isn't enough for me. I prefer to have a five, ten and 20 year plan if supply chains were cut off. I'm focused in on abundant clean air, food, and water and having the ability to raise a strong family without much reliance on the system.

Mariah and I jumped into homesteading with the mindset that we will learn through experience. Reading homesteading books can be useful but we learn the fastest through making mistakes. When it comes to animal husbandry, like human health, the details really matter. Having access to the right tools can make it a lot easier.

In this episode I focus mostly on milking goats and chickens and what I wish someone would have told me when I got started.
