This is a terrific show. The concept - sinister going’s on at a quintessentially British amusement park in the 80s - works thanks not only to the terrific production design and performances but the grounding of the characters in reality - despite all the effectively creepy, perhaps supernatural shenanigans, JJ and the rest feel like real people with real problems, and that’s what anchors me as a listener. Been slow-dripping this show so as not to run out of episodes too soon, but up to date now and can’t wait for the next!
Also - bloody funny. Laughed out loud in the milk aisle at Sainsbury’s the other day at a particularly wonderful delivery of the word ‘arse.’
