I live my life by the motto, ‘If you want better results in your life, you have to learn to ask better questions.’ I just got back from NYC and a question I was asked there is, ‘What do you have to let go of right now in order to achieve your goals for 2020?’ I want you to ask yourself the same question. Journal about or record your thoughts about this question. Get out in nature if you feel stuck.

One thing that kept coming up for me is a lot of heavy relationships. My girlfriend Lori said, ‘If it’s heavy, it’s not for you.’ And that was a real eye-opener for me.

So lean into those people who will energize you and are going to help lift you up to that next level. Because all of your energy needs to be focused on your goal and everything that goes into achieving that goal. If there's a friendship or a partnership in your life that feels heavy and like it's weighing you down, it might be time to let it go.

And if you feel like relationships are one of the things weighing you down, look at your phone and see who you’re talking to on a regular basis. Ask yourself how talking to each person feels. If there are people who it feels heavy to have a conversation with, maybe decide to spend less time with them.
