Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen, yesterday, presented a fairly lukewarm press conference explaining the Trump Administration's continued effort to separate migrant children from their parents at the southern border of the United States.

The conference piqued reporter interest as to why President Trump, if he is as against the separation of families as he claims to be, has not called the DHS, or offered to halt the action in some way.

Many GOP representatives, as well, have questioned the President's lack of action -- most tweeting out statements of disapproval.

This comes as a new Quinnipiac University Poll shows 66% of all voters oppose the Trump Administration's policy of separating families.

All Former First Ladies of the White House have spoken out against the policy; and, current First Lady Melania Trump, according to a recent statement released by her spokeswoman, is seemingly siding against her husband.

Currently, all Senate Democrats are working on, and supporting, legislation to bring clarity and reform to the nation's immigration policy; but, contrary to their words on Twitter, Republican Senators have not yet joined the effort.
