With all the time at home, we have been binging The Outer Banks on Netflix. We talk about friendship and forgiveness as the primary themes and see how this applies to the life of the Christian. 

Have you been watching Netflix? Then you have certainly been up to date on the most popular shows. Or you have been watching Fuller House like Danny has. Either way, you have probably seen recommendations for The Outer Banks. This show takes viewers through the story of John B and his friends who go looking for treasure, sunken ships, and ultimately, John B’s father. But along the way they need to unite as friends and find forgiveness among themselves. 

Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. (Ecclesiastes 4:9-12, ESV)

Forgiveness for our enemies and for our friends should be hallmark traits for the Christian. It expresses the grace of God to those around us just as Jesus did to us.
