Welcome to Episode 27 of Nooks and Crannies!
Election Night in Canada
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Welcome Canadian registered voters and our “Traditional Allies” from around the globe! This episode is all about the upcoming Canadian Federal Election *Oct 21.
Evan kicks things off by breaking Matt’s predicted Orange Wave and then they get into some Green Party bashing in the hopes that this will help pave the way towards an NDP landslide, which is actually a terrible thing as it might lead to a Conservative majority or a Liberal minority which also means that we might be helping the Bloc Quebecois but not the PPC. Confused yet? Have no fear, the fella’s explain all these acronyms and more in this episode.
After giving a broad overview, we got into the weeds a bit to talk about the issues facing Canadian’s in this upcoming election; Students, the Environment, Cost of Living and Living Wages, how much Evan despises the term Armed Forces, why the Liberal Party is a bunch of black-face wearing hypocrites (See our most recent bonus episode: https://nooksandcrannies.podbean.com/e/bonus-episode-our-troubled-political-times/), and how the NDP will take pragmatic steps to actually lowering your costs of living through universal dentistry and pharmacare.
This was our first attempt at a long form episode (no segments), hope you all enjoy. And be sure to hit subscribe as we will be releasing more bonus episodes as well as smaller minisodes (20ish mins) in the upcoming weeks.
Until then, get your arse’s out to the ballot box on Oct 21 and vote for the Canada you want, not the one you feel stuck with…Peace and Solidarity
Talk to ya’ll soon and aren’t we lucky?
