Yet another history podcast. Currently I'm doing a series on classical China, titled All Under Heaven. The foci of this series, the Qin and Han dynasties, together lasted from 221 BC to AD 220. These dynasties have held a place in Chinese and greater east Asian history which is comparable to the place of ancient Greece and Rome in Europe. Under Qin and Han, China was transformed from a country of disparate, warring, feudal states to a united, expansionist empire, which would then slowly recede and eventually collapse into a new era of division. Just as interesting as these events is the development of Chinese philosophy, which informed the decisions of emperors and statesmen, and reacted to the changing political circumstances. If you'd like to listen to these stories and a thousand other tangential ones, than give it a listen.
