A federal appeals court on Wednesday granted execution stays to death row inmates Julius Jones and John Marion Grant. Jones was set for execution Nov. 18 and Grant was set for execution Thursday [Oct. 28]. Three other inmates had asked the 10th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver for stays, also, but the judges there did not grant or deny their requests.
