Episode 3. Nine Lives
This week the Pauls run afoul of Christopher Walken and are forced to find the one good thing about Nine Lives before their bodies are trapped forever in the body of a terrible film. Featuring: Rob Lowe, Werner Herzog and the innards of world-renowned stage actor Kevin Spacey.
Episode 9. Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen
This week the Pauls take a trip on my neighbour Turturro's catbus of acting gravitas as it plunges them headfirst into Bayhem, a storm of sleaze, sweat and bewbs jiggling over soft fade ins of men in army fatigues having good old arm wrestles and being MEN, who are great. That's right, kids: we're trying to find the one good thing about a Michael Bay film! Hooray! Featuring: What Drug Is My Mom On? an unlikely sequel, a moment of real cinema, a brief moral and the greatest joke of all time.
Episode 11. Spanglish
It's recommendations month here at OGT towers and the lovely David Keep of webcomic whatkindofday.com (and our super-rad artwork) threw Spanglish in our big stupid faces! Starring Adam Sandler and Tea Leoni, it promises to be a thrillride of neurotic whingeing and murky morals - basically Woody Allen without the jokes. Thanks Dave! Featuring: Harry Dean Stanton gettin' some, Momma knows nothing, ghost son, Mexicans! typical marital sex scenes and one utterly unholy coupling.
Episode 22. The Ridiculous Six
Well! This week the @blokebusters podcast recommend us a doozy and the Pauls get OUTRAGEOUS with Adam Sandler's Netflix release The Ridiculous Six: CRINGE as they get offended as hell at all the crass, gross Sandler jokes; WINCE as they etc. etc. Turns out that it's exactly what they expected, with absolutely no surprises. Paul and I hate surprises, except at Christmas, and this ain't Christmas. The one good thing about The Ridiculous Six! Featuring: Batman? Sensuality? Comedy? Actors? and... Vanilla Ice.
Episode 29. Alone in the Dark
This week the Pauls hold hands in a well-lit room and face the horror of another in a long line of worst films of all time and – well, you know the rest. Prepare for disappointment. Featuring: a pair of regular Rory Bremners, some right t’orphans, handsome Jeremy Corbyn, the hierarchy of Rob and seven seconds of whatever you want, baby.
Episode 131. Casper (Feat. Ellen Graham)
There's some spooky goings on at the Mansion de la Pauls. Crude jokes are making themselves, and we've been feeling strange emotions like fondness for the 90s. There's only one explanation, we're being haunted by a Baby Bearder! And this one has dug up a ripe young corpse for us to all enjoy! Featuring: The longest introduction ever recorded, Way more about Paul S’ early fantasies than you ever wanted to know, every dad you ever wanted, the devastating cheese appetites of the film4 staff, Brad Garrett (who is lovely), the home alone theme, lots of liquids, Daddy Juice (TM) and some grumpy old dead pricks. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! Episode 57. Ballistic: Ecks Vs. Sever
This week the Pauls struggle to be heard over the sound of an obnoxious four-four beat backing over them like a lorry packed to the rafters with bullshit; fortunately for them, Ballistic: Ecks Vs Sever was on the TV, so they were able to hear it over everything else perfectly. And what do you know, they even found a few good things about it… ONE good thing, that is. But also a few. Featuring: the inevitable return to a Channel 4 cult comedy classic, not being John Travolta (or Clive Owen), a smoking nanobot, whispered kicks and doing everything in your power to be a human being.
Episode 52. New Year's Eve
Well, it's the end of a long and sticky year. We've seen our fair share of highs and some undeserved lows, but those of us who remain have not only ourselves but each other to thank. These emotions and more come to a head on the last day of 2017: there'll be laughter, mostly because of alcohol; regret, mostly also because of alcohol but also because of genitals and the sex we've done to one another, but also regret from all the poor decisions we made in the last year, because of alcohol, sex and the terrible food we've pushed into our faces to get over all our hangovers and awful sexual encounters. Never mind, here's Gary Marshall's New Year's Eve. It's two hours long and you might forget about how terrible you are at life as you slip jagged and screaming into the vortex of a film that defies Gregorian and other concepts of time. Here's to a sparkling new year with all the new opportunities, sexual and other, that they tend to provide. And thank you, OGTeam. Featuring: please don't make me... okay... there's... VP New Year... Sudeikis New Year... Mom New Year... please... please, everyone... it's the 31st... ____ New Year... ____ New Year... fill 'em in. Like in games. Games fun... Alexei Fyodorovich Karamazov is in this one I think. His sequence of religious epiphanies is unparalleled in cinema. You should really check this out, guys.
Episode 51. Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas
Merry Christmas from the Paulboyz at OGT: this week we find the one festive thing about Kirk Cameron's Saving Christmas and in turn find that Christmas is indeed saved for us. No doubt about it, guys. This does exactly what it says on the tin. Featuring everything you've ever wanted in Santa's steely gaze. See you in the new year!
Episode 46. Pearl Harbor
Hey flyboys: we heard there’s a war on! Last thing me and the boys heard there’s a hulking mass in the sky, come from afar, promising doom and destruction from above – and all we can do is wait. That’s right, I was really talking about Pearl Harbour (2001) but flipped it at the very end there! Did you see? Anyway, me and the boys are gonna go smooch some dames and get something hypodermic jabbed into our butt-meat, hopefully with some sort of military-grade narcotic because even though we’re not at war we really have a battle of our own and that is finding one measly good thing in a mere three hours of constant spinning telephoto lens. Up up and away! Featuring: cartoon stutter II: the cringing, Baffneckinsale, Japan vs. Kate, tricks for Baldwin and startling historical accuracy.
Episode 42. Batman and Robin
Thanks to TV In Space (@TVinspace) the Pauls are pushed kicking screaming into the acid vats they have down at DC nowadays and emerge moments later with some unconvincing makeup and an inexplicable desire to sink their teeth into Batman. Unfortunately Bruce Wayne isn't taking visitors so they went online and rented a copy of Batman and Robin, tucked into a family bucket of Häagen-Dazs and bitched about billionaires all night. What came out? A couple of good things. Featuring: ice cold puns, toxic innuendo, a bat thing, Richard's name is Dick and one triumphant mess.
One Clip Thing
NOTE: A strange audio fault means that Paul Goodman's audio sounds as though he's appearing via the medium of a terrible vinyl record. Apologies, all will be well next week.  Happy New Year! It's a special episode, just for you and our other listeners (but mainly you). The Pauls are in the UK together and take the opportunity to really knuckle down and make the best episode they've ever JUST KIDDING! It's a clip show. But new clips! Clips cut from previous episodes because they were too personal for us to take responsibility for... until now! Featuring: Shania Twain, Mel Gibson's Bravemel, professionalism in the face of sneezing, Barry Underworld, the sound of the 80s, Sweaty Balls, the misadventures of a British Man in Australia, Football songs, Paul's dwindling head weight, Old Man Suspiria and both of the Pauls' Mums, who are lovely really. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Here's our YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6rqzjoDWt8D-p37gU43pcQ - subscribe and share! Episode 94. Vampire's Kiss
The Pauls delve deep again into the inferno of Nicholas Cage. This time they shan't emerge until they take on the Cage Rage itself and decide once and for all if Nick Cage is indeed a good actor. Along the way they review possibly his craziest role to date! Are we getting through to you, Alva? (and the rest of you?) Featuring: a brand new accent, subtle office politics, David Foster Niles Crane, Our Leary with dear old Mr Cage, let's-have-sex face, the toughest plot recap yet, cheapies, URGH, and the fine line between normal and Rik Mayall.  ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Here's our YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6rqzjoDWt8D-p37gU43pcQ - subscribe and share! Episode 95. Manos: The Hands of Fate
MANOS! Hear our exhaultation to you, mighty lord of terrible movies! Bestow upon us terrible performances, hilarious editing, and a thousand inexplicable decisions. We ask of this of you, oh Manos. Reward our intreped exploration of the trash of cinematic history with a gem of inadvertant comedy genius. Thy will be done, thy will be done, thy will be done.  Featuring: Terrible audio from a Paul, your badass gran, goatboy, surprise beauty contests, baby Peter Travers, exclusive audio of awkward silences, 60s driving safety, cursed teens, and the discovery of yet another cinematic genius.  ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Here's our YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6rqzjoDWt8D-p37gU43pcQ - subscribe and share! Episode 143. Land of the Lost (feat. 2/4 of Baby Beard)
Wassup OGTeam, you absolute suckers? Have you ever wondered what it would be like if your favourite two podcasters from OGT and two other douchebags from Baby Beard Media decide to meet up in Melbourne, get no sleep, drink some whiskey and share a mic so all those coughs and sneezes and sibilants are snagged in the audio like so many dolphins in a really effective tuna net? Well they bloody did it, and they decided to watch Land of the Lost starring Will Ferrel and Anna Friel to commemorate the occasion! Is it as bad as everyone says or have the OGBearders stumbled upon a gem in the stinky ruuubiiiiiish? Find out, here! Now. Featuring: Good Will Ferrel, an interaction with Danny McBride, Northern Woman, noted man Jared from Subway, liquor! and the sound of four insecure people screaming over each other until their ears bleed. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! Episode 74. The Mummy 2017 (feat. Baby Beard)
Three in a bag, three in the bush… the Baby Bearders are gluttons for uniquely repetitive styles of punishment as they the prodigal sons return for more shit film talk! Turns out that if you say ‘one good thing’ three times in an Australian accent 2017’s bad film ‘The Mummy’ will appear in DVD form, and everyone involved must watch it or be laughed at as bad film boys for all time. If you can find at least one good thing about it, however, the curse reverses and The Mummy is plagued by the expectation that it was actually going to be a good film, ensuring a feeling of betrayal in every filmgoer for all time! Oh, delicious irony. Is that irony? You tell us. You tell us. Featuring: classic mates, the conquests of Mary Beard, Jenny! Ben Whishaw you’re the god of death, Full-on Fabio, conspidercy and steampoon. Episode 72. Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones
This week a royal coupling has the Pauls in a tizzy; the republic dream is fading, they’re focusing on the negative, they’re certainly not mindful of our thoughts and, to be perfectly honest, if anyone is pleased to see them at this stage then something has gone horribly wrong. What’s more, because I can’t be bothered to finish this analogy I’m going to go ahead and make it clear that we’re talking about Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones without any further reference to real life events this previous week – those dresses tho. Star Wars! One good thing!  Featuring: star signs wars, the original odd couple, Leorge Gucas, the real George Lucas and all the good a Star Wars petition ever did for anyone.  ogtpod@gmail.comhttps://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Jingles from episodes 1-50 now available on Bandcamp – just £2.50 for more than 20 tracks! https://ogtpod.bandcamp.com/releases   Dockhead by Paul Goodman is available in paperback for just £5.99. Episode 70. Damn, Sandler!
Basically, after seventy-plus hours of OGT, the Pauls have gone the way of Bonnie and Clyde, Sonny and Cher and Bono/Bono and bloody had it with each other. One Paul had a feeling this would happen, so about ten weeks ago asked the other Paul to watch five Adam Sandler films in one go. "For the podcast," he said, grubbing his hands like a fly perched on a peach, and left it at that. Turns out, unbeknownst to himself, that he was serious. Seeing as they went ahead and watched five of Sandler's earliest films, they might as well think of something to say about them. Maybe try and find the one good thing? Old Sandler was good Sandler, right? ...right? Featuring: whatever you canget a good deal on, basically. Subway, Popeye's Chicken, Adidas, you stop noticing after a while.  ogtpod@gmail.comhttps://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Jingles from episodes 1-50 now available on Bandcamp – just £2.50 for more than 20 tracks! https://ogtpod.bandcamp.com/releases   Dockhead by Paul Goodman is available in paperback for just £5.99. Episode 132. Mr. Nanny
Calling all real Americans and real pain for my sham Americans: HULK SMASH…ed his way into Hollywood on the bicepped arms of Mr. Nanny and, much like the light of the sun has to travel the hundreds of millions of miles to Earth, the Paulboys only now feel the manly meaty punch of Terry “the Hulk “The Hulk”” Hogan, and are pleasantly surprised to find that it doesn’t just keep repeatedly punching them while they’re down. So crank it up!  Featuring: The/a Hulk, #canvaslife, Dadley Moore, the only Hulk Hogan primer you’ll need/ever written, better than Surf Ninjas, shot him in the heart! Hulkavania, and a man who insists on throwing a dog in the river. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! Episode 130. Noting Not Another Teen Movie
We did it! We made it through another ten god damn episodes. Time to celebrate by turning to a much maligned film that one of the Pauls has a soft (?) spot for. See if you can spot which one. It's the sexy comedy about sexy comedies, but will the other Paul's heart be won over by the homely dame, or will he turn out to be Sarah Michelle Gellar. Awful. Tune in to find out!  Featuring: Idris Elba's crazy emporium of wacky characters, lots of depth for the Pauls to be out of, some political insights, Kevin Costner's awful horse, a travelogue of getting murdered in India, the complicated politics of mooning, Clive Owen's grim duty, and Jeff Goldblum's Legacy.
Episode 129. The Happytime Murders
The Pauls are back and sleepy! Watch as their sleep-deprived minds try to recall the intricacies of a nonsensical plot that no one was intended to care about. Hear their willingness to talk seriously about this movie ebb away before your ears! It's the maddening spectacle of two men watching pornographic puppets. Listen if you dare!  Featuring: our thoughts on the most important trailer of the year, a puppet dynasty, gooch yawns, smut, Emma Watson's mocap mishaps, muppet drugs, a cow having its teets jerked by an octopus for ages and the least deserving threeman yet.  ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! One Quick Thing #5. The Devil's Hand
It's holiday time for the Pauls! But before they left to enjoy New Zealand and East Finchley respectively, they recorded their reactions to yet another Gore House Great! Will this film live up to the outrageous standards of the other GHGs? Only time and this podcast will tell if you listen to it.  Featuring: Alan Alda's excellent dad, Cleasty Yeastwood, more threeman fuckups, Nancy Reagan, wild speculation about the back of Argos, people puppets, Francis the High Executioner, Maureen from Number 27, and Gamba the Devil God of Evil.  ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! Episode 113. The Purge
On March 22nd 2019, America waited… for The Pauls to finish their episode on The Predator. But in the film we watched the week after, on another March 22nd, watching The Purge became legal for just twelve hours. Could The Pauls achieve such a task, factoring in bathroom and bagel breaks and finding all the good things about this film whilst simultaneously upvoting Captain Marvel and Doctor Who on all movie review websites? Jeremy Corbyn could. Some say he already has. The one good thing about The Purge! This episode was recommended by Chris from the Revisited podcast (@RVisited) – a podcast of anniversaries, from Sergio Leone to the MCU – check them out! Featuring: sexy sounds, choose your own jokeventure, name one film, that infinitely useful thing Jim Jarmusch said about stealing, not understanding actually anything, the worst Australian and not one carb. Not one. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  We are proud members of the Alottagreen Network – you can check out two enormous fistfuls of quality Australian content at http://alottagreen.com.au like classic OGTeamers! Episode 111. Planes (family friendly!)
Welcoming OGTeam and OGTeen/Tweens alike: the Pauls make history with their first ever family friendly episode – and it's about Disney Pixar cinematic-release-at-the-last-minute Planes! Do the Pauls go the entire episode without saying anything adult or do they flip up and go butts to the wall as this film works its Disney magic on their eager and nubile minds? Well, only one way to blummin' find out eh? ...farts. Episode 91. The Boy Next Door
Oh hey there. We're your new neighbours, Pauls. We were just fixing a few things whilst reciting our favourite macho epic poem, The Iliad, featuring ja boi Achilles. Perhaps we can come over tonight and slide our meaty dogs between your floury buns. What's that? You're busy tonight?! We'll follow you to the ends of the earth to avenge this slight! We hope you drive one of the cars we have blueprints for, dick. Well instead of giving you the privilege of our private length, here's us talking about a raunchy stalker thriller.  Featuring: Jennifer Lopez, Biceps, Kevin Mccallister's Dad, Anne Heche/Leslie Ash, the oldest first edition ever written, some mighty quivering, anti-intellectual school principals, and Paul's Dating Tips. ogtpod@gmail.com https://ogtpod.podbean.comhttps://facebook.com/ogtpodhttps://twitter.com/ogtpod  Here's our YouTube channel – https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC6rqzjoDWt8D-p37gU43pcQ - subscribe and share!
