Most people choose the wrong skills to learn in life, and as a result, don't get to where they want to be. Here are 10 skills which will pay off forever if you learn and embrace them.Skill number one is all about getting you to flip the script in terms of how you build confidence. A lot of people think that they need to be more confident in order to step into their fears, but they've got it the wrong way around. The key skill to learn is that we step into our fears in order to build confidence.Number two skill is curious listening. When you ask curiosity-based questions, they deepen your connection with the person, but you also learn things that you never would have perhaps seen before, which can be important for your own development as well.Number three skill is single tasking. Did you know that the average person loses 13 weeks a year, an entire calendar quarter, because they are not working on one thing at a time? Single tasking is nothing more than making sure when you're working on something, you're eliminating the distractions.Number four skill is 80/20 focus. 80/20 focus is simply recognizing that things are not all created equal. What are the 20% of the things that you can be focusing on for 80% of the benefit?Number five skill to learn is simply getting enough sleep. A lot of people are not getting the recommended eight hours of sleep. It impacts their productivity. It impacts their ability to achieve their goal. Ultimately impacts their ability to get to where they want to in life.Number six skill is learning the art of pausing. When something happens that triggers the worst in you, do not respond right away. Practice pausing between whatever is triggering you and then how you respond so that you can choose the best response, the response that's congruent with who you are at your best.Number seven skill is stepping into difficult conversations. It's not confidence that we need to have a difficult conversation. It's stepping into the difficult conversation that will build the confidence we seek.Number eight skill that's hard to learn but super valuable is consistency. I'd much rather see somebody playing at an 80% level consistently than on occasion 100%, and then 60% or 50%. The best way to create consistency is to simply measure. What gets measured gets done.Number nine skill that's hard to learn but pays off forever is the skill of being able to find the expert. There are experts out there to help you in your quest to achieve whatever it is that you want. If you can develop the comfort to get out there and reach and connect to them, you can acquire the expertise that you need. And the number 10 skill that you can learn which will pay off forever's how to manage your time well. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Lots of people get frustrated for not having the respect that they think they deserve. Here are nine ways to get people to respect you immediately.First, you need to listen with curiosity. When you listen with curiosity, it commands respect from the other person because you suddenly are and appear more engaged with them. People want to feel that they're being listened to.Number two, if you want to command respect, do what you say. You need to be reliable. If you're not reliable, people will not respect you.Number three thing that you can do to command immediately is to say what you mean. If you go about a conversation or a relationship and you're not really revealing your true feelings, but then those feelings become revealed later through another person or through yourself but far too long in the process than it should have been, people tend to not respect you.Number four, we need to treat people fairly and respectfully. They need to feel that justice is being made available for everyone in the relationship. So make sure that you're treating people fairly and respectfully if you expect to be respected in return.Number five way that you can get people to respect you immediately is to offer to help them to achieve their goals. If you do that, people immediately feel more bonded to you and they want to work with you.Number six, remember to look after the human side of someone and not just the work side. If you want to command or receive respect from another person, make sure that you're connecting to the fact that they're not just there to work or collaborate with you.Number seven, if you want to get respect from somebody immediately demonstrate your vulnerability. When you go out there and you go ahead and you admit to others that you've made a mistake on something, it makes you more approachable, it makes you more accessible and it makes it more likely that the person is going to genuinely respect you because you're like them in that situation.Number eight, if you want to get the respect that you think you deserve, you need to deliver your best. If you're delivering your best and people can feel that, they are way more likely to respect you. Giving your best just simply commands respect from anyone around. And the number nine way to get people to respect you immediately is to demonstrate that you are constantly seeking to improve. Asking for feedback, demonstrating that you're looking to continuously improve immediately commands respect from others. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Have you ever felt that you're just trying and trying, but nothing seems to work, you're just not getting ahead? Here are five simple steps that you can use to achieve more success.Number one is to recognize that behavior follows identity, it's not the other way around. You can choose a superhero version of you, give that a name and see how your behavior, if you constantly remind yourself of that identity will start to follow suit and match who you're trying to be.The number two thing we need to do to get ahead and have more success is we need to set magnetic goals. I mean goals that pull us into action goals that make us want to be productive towards them. Setting massive goals makes them magnetic.Once we have our magnetic goals in place, we then need to focus on what matters most. We can't do absolutely everything when it comes to working on our goals, we have to focus on the outputs that matter most. What are the things that are going to create the most amount of positive movement?Number four success tip for getting ahead is determine what you need to learn and from whom. When we're trying to do something we haven't done before, it's going to inevitably require us to learn something new. And the beautiful thing is, is that all the knowledge that you need to achieve your goals, all of it, 100% of it, it already exists. And then last but not least to really get ahead, we need to get into the habit of scheduling our time to work on the things that matter most. Please rate and review my podcast here:
The acronym IPA stands for Identity, Productivity and Antifragility. Mastering IPA is literally the number one thing you need to do to be more successful in life.IPA starts with Identity. And the reason we start with identity is because behavior follows who we think we are. And we can't become a better version of ourselves, going forward, if we're going to continue being the person we've always been. You can do this across three different domains in life: on the health front, on the wealth front, and on the home front. Choose one thing on each front whereby doing it in the context of the day would help evidence or prove that I'm being that best version of yourself. Then we have productivity, the P in the IPA acronym. Why do we talk about productivity? Because it's no good choosing to define what best looks like for us if we're not going to also optimize ourselves for action. Knowledge isn't where the game is played anymore, we have to continually take action. And then the A within the IPA acronym stands for antifragility. We can decide what best looks like from an identity point of view, we can also optimize ourselves for action from a productivity point of view, and things still won't go to plan. But rather than be derailed by that or upset by that, we want to reframe stress; so that the more stress we experience, the more hardship or difficulty we experience, the stronger we become. Stress is not something that you should seek to run away from, that you should seek to avoid; rather stress is something positive, if viewed from the correct point of view. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Everyone says, "follow your gut," but that can actually be very dangerous advice. In today's message, I'm going to make sure that you know when you should follow your gut instinct and when you shouldn't.What is intuition, what is gut instinct? Gut instinct is simply that feeling sometimes that you get about whether or not you should or shouldn't do something or do something with another person or work on something. There are certain situations when we should follow it, certain situations when we shouldn't. So let's start with talking about some of the situations that we should follow our gut instinct. One of the best places to use your intuition is after you've whittled down your options.Your intuition around people, especially around trust, very often in my experience, it's trying to tell you something very important. I would be thinking twice about ignoring that.So trust your intuition in those situations, when you're feeling issues about your physical safety or you're questioning, "Am I safe in this situation?" Usually your intuition is right in those instances as well. Now let’s examine when to ignore our intuition. So sometimes we will get the gut instinct to not do something. When fear is masquerading as our gut instinct, it's a really good signal to ask yourself, "What is the handful of things that I could be focused on rather than the myriad of things? How could I get some support? So in summary, your intuition is there to help you, but you shouldn't always follow it.Please rate and review my podcast here:
Many people struggle with anxiety. They get too anxious on a daily basis. But it doesn't need to be this way.In this video, I'm going to give you a handful of things that you can use so that you can change from suffering from these everyday anxieties to becoming what you want to become. An anxious mind is a clouded mind. We need to create clarity. The first way to create clarity is to develop a meditation practice.Another way that you can create more clarity in your mind so that you can remove those clouds of anxiety is to just develop a simple planning routine. It immediately reduces anxiety, because you're not worried about the things that you need to do.An anxious mind is a tired mind. So what we need to do here is focus on our energy and recovery. Scientifically proven, if you're not getting enough sleep, you will be more prone to anxiety.Another thing that you can do to really focus on your recovery is make sure that you start off your day with some exercise. An energized mind is going to be less anxious. And then as you progress throughout your day, think about installing a little break routine. Don't just work endlessly with no break at all. You'll prime yourself for not feeling anxious by making sure you're taking plenty of breaks throughout the day.An anxious mind is a repressed mind. We become more anxious when we're not expressing our ambitions to others, when we're not saying what it is that we stand for, when we're not expressing our feelings. When we keep that stuff in, it contributes to our anxiety.I want you to ask yourself right now, what are you afraid of? Because those fears will create anxiety. And I want you to flip the script here. Because the way you feel less anxious is not by suddenly feeling more confident to step into your fears, it's the act of stepping into the fears, which will build your confidence. Please rate and review my podcast here:
People take way too long to get out of bad relationships. Today, I'm going to take you through six things that you could be using to determine whether or not you should quit on someone. The number one thing is trust. If you do not have trust in a relationship at work or at home, there is no foundation for the relationship.Number two, you need to have respect in a relationship. If you don't have respect from the person that you are in a relationship with, professionally or personally, if they're disrespectful to you, if they put you down, degrade you, make you feel that you're not worth who you are as a person, that's not a relationship.Number three reason or number three factor in a good relationship is empathy. Empathy is simply the ability for someone to put themselves in your shoes so they can feel what you're feeling. If you're in a relationship, you're with someone who doesn't have empathy, the first step is to just make them aware of that. The number four factor to make sure that you have in a relationship is growth. Is the person that you're in a relationship with leading to your growth?Number five on the list is fun. Who wants to be in a robotic, mechanical, dry, dull, boring, I can't have a laugh, relationship? Nobody. We all want to have fun.Last but not least, does this relationship make you happy? Just in general, does it make you feel good? Does it put a smile on your heart, on your soul? Please rate and review my podcast here:
So many people fail to realize their dreams. I want to give you a simple set of tools that you can use to make sure that you turn your dreams into reality.Number one with turning your dreams into reality starts in the mind and you need to take 100% ownership. It's down to you. Nobody else is going to do it for you.Number two, if you want to turn your dreams into a reality, almost certainly you are going to need to up your game somewhere. I want you to just pause for a moment and ask yourself, "Where do I need to be upping my game?"The next thing that we need to do is we need to schedule our dreams into our calendar. Have you ever thought about scheduling your dreams into your calendar? I mean, what gets scheduled gets done, and that includes your dreams as well.Number four, we need to create some outside pressure. So, that could come in the form of an accountability partner. We could make a bet or we could go public.Last but not least, if you want to turn your dreams into reality, then recognize that balance is critical. If you're all pedal to the metal on the work front and you're sacrificing your health or your relationships, eventually that's not going to work. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Nearly everyone will feel that they're not in control of their life at some point, but few people realize just how easy it is to take control of their life. Here are the top 10 ways that you can take control of your life, and be in the driver's seat rather than in the passenger seat.Number one, you simply need to decide who it is that you want to be. You get to decide who you want to be right now.Number two thing that you can be doing to take control in your life is once you've decided who you want to be in the areas of life that matter most, you can decide what's the one thing that I could do on a daily basis in the context of that day, that will evidence my success in that area? The number three thing that you can be doing to take control of your life is make sure you have powerful routines in your day. If your day is feeling like it's out of control, then it's probably because you don't have some very concrete, reliable structures in your day.Number four way you can get back into feeling like you're in control of your life is simply to have goals. If you don't know what you're shooting for, you're going to be feeling that you're flying blind. So make sure you're choosing goals and have goals that inspire you.Number five thing that you could be doing to make you feel that you're more in control once again, is to apply the 80/20 rule, especially to your skill or goal work. The 80/20 rule simply says that 20% of the things that you could be doing will create 80% of the result.Number six way to make you feel more in control is to make sure that you're reframing stress. Stress is not something bad. It's our view of stress, which is actually what hurts us, which actually makes us feel not in control.Number seven way that you can take more control in your life is to develop a “bring it on” mentality. Have the mentality that no matter what the challenge is that you can step into it.Number eight is to make sure that you're measuring what matters. If you are not measuring things, they will tend to not get done. What gets measured gets done. And the ninth way that you can feel much more in control again, is to level up your team. Often when we're not feeling in control, we could just be hanging out with the wrong people or not have the right members of the team working with us, not have the right people on the team. And the number 10 way to make sure that you're feeling in control is to simply make sure that you're practicing gratitude. When we are not thankful on a regular basis for all the good things that are happening in our lives, then we have a tendency to just look at the things that aren't happening. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Today I want to take you through five lessons that people learn far too late in life. And as a result, they don’t end up living the life of their dreams, don’t end up living the life that they wanted to live.So lesson number one is people effectively don't follow their dreams. They fail to believe in themselves. They fail to pursue the things that they had always wanted to do.Number two lesson that people learn far too late in life is don't work too hard. When you get to the end of your life, you certainly won't be looking back and thinking, I wish I had five more minutes to clear out my inbox or to finish a project or to work on my next goal.Number three lesson that people learn far too late in life is not expressing their feelings. Not expressing how you feel about certain things causes you to stay in perhaps relationships, business arrangements, situations that you don't actually want to be in.Number four lesson that people learn far too late in life is simply not staying in touch with friends. Ask yourself, "Am I spending time with the people that matter most to me? Could I be spending more time with my friends?" And how could you be doing that? And the number five lesson that people learn far too late in life is that they can actually choose to be happy. You can't control all the events that are happening to you, but you can absolutely choose your reaction to those events. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Today I want to talk to you about six general areas, which if you focus on these areas, you can dramatically increase your motivation or simply increase your likelihood of sticking with whatever it is that you're trying to work on.Number one, the number one thing that you can do to increase your motivation is to really focus on self-belief. If you're doubting yourself, your motivation will be low.The number two area that you can focus on to increase your motivation is zeroing in on your why. Why is it that you're doing this? If we really understand why, then it ignites that motivation once again and makes us want to continue that journey ahead. The third general area that you can focus on to increase your motivation is making sure that you're maintaining your positivity. I look at positivity in a slightly different lens. I look at maximizing the fundamentals in my life.Number four area that I like to look at, to increase my motivation or to make sure my motivation is where it needs to be is just a general area of support.Number five area to focus on to make sure that your motivation is as high as you would like it to be is in the area of clarity. We need clarity on whatever it is that we're working on, or our motivation will suffer. The number six area to focus on to keep your motivation high is distraction. We want to minimize distraction in order to keep our motivation where it needs to be.Please rate and review my podcast here:
Everybody knows the importance of motivation, but few people realize that you can actually hack your motivation. Here are four things to scientifically hack your motivation so that you can carry through and do the things that you have set yourself to achieve. The first thing that you need to do is to maximize the value of whatever it is that you're trying to work on. You need to be reminding yourself, why is it that I'm doing this? Why is this important to me?Number two, the next thing that you can be doing to maximize your motivation is to maximize what's called Expectancy. And what expectancy simply is, is your belief in your ability to achieve whatever it is that you're trying to work on.Number three: We need to minimize our impulsivity. We need to minimize our likelihood that we're going to be distracted and start to divide our attention or lose our focus on whatever it is that we're working on.The number four thing that you need to do to scientifically hack your motivation is to minimize delay. That simply means that we want to minimize the amount of time that it takes for us to get that first taste of success. So in summary, maximize your value and your expectancy, minimize your impulsivity and delay, and you'll find yourself being much more motivated for whatever it is that you're trying to achieve in life. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Your negativity is holding you back. You're always thinking that perhaps the worst is going to happen. Unless you reprogram that negative state of mind, you'll always stay in that down state. Now, here's the good news. You actually can reprogram your mind for positive thinking.Today, I'm going to share with you five things that you can do to reprogram your mind for more positive thinking.Number one, we need to focus on the story that we're telling ourselves. The story that you tell yourself, it's the most powerful story you'll ever hear in your life. We're going to reprogram your mind by writing out your current story, which is going to become your old, and then writing a new story, which you're going to use and rewrite with yourself for 90 straight days to literally start to reprogram your mind. The second thing that you can do to start reprogramming your mind is adopting a professional mindset, instead of an amateur. What's the difference? An amateur thinks that feeling is required to generate action, whereas a professional knows that action generates feeling.Number three, start every day with the simple phrase: Today is going to be a great day. Start your day in a positive frame of mind with that simple statement. You'll see over time how that starts to reprogram your mind for positivity as well.Number four, take five minutes before you start your day and do what I call a dream team exercise. There's three areas of life that we seek to do our best in, that we seek to show up as positively as possible. It's our health, our wealth, and our relationships.A powerful way to start your day with some positivity is to think about: Who am I at my best in each of those three areas? The number five thing that you can do to literally start reprogramming your mind for more positive thinking is when you get to the end of your day, take five minutes to catalog, to write down your wins and your learnings. When you focus on what you did well in a day, what went well, what was positive, the good things that happen, it creates a sense of gratitude. It creates a sense of positivity within. Please rate and review my podcast here:
Today we're going to be talking about what makes a great leader, and all of these things are things that you can learn.Number one, the key thing to becoming a great leader is to build what's called vulnerability based trust. People don't like working with someone who never makes a mistake, right? The number two area that great leaders excel in is around decisiveness, so the ability to prioritize speed over precision and decision-making. It's much better to make a decision quickly, even if it's the wrong decision, than to sit there and deliberate in analysis paralysis and never move forward.Number three area that is a hallmark for great leadership is around reliability. Great leaders do what they say they're going to do. If you're not building your personal integrity bank account by doing the things that you say you're going to do, you will not separate yourself from all the want to be great leaders.Number four thing that great leaders do is that they are productive. They take the time to figure out what are the right things that they should be working on.Number five, great leaders rally everyone behind a great vision. What is the vision that you could be using to inspire yourself and others?Number six, great leaders then think about the strategy that's necessary to achieve that vision. How are you going to go about using what's unique about you or your group or whatever to achieve that vision?Number seven is all about execution. We've got a great strategy. We need to execute. We actually need to get this stuff done.Number eight, great leaders remember that they're managing or they're leading a team, not a family. There's a big difference between the two because families strive to stick together no matter what, whereas teams are optimized to win at all times.Great leaders have difficult, tough conversations. They don't shy away from them. They step into them.Number 10, great leaders mind the metrics. They make sure that everyone knows the metrics, the points, the things that are needed to win the game.Number 11, great leaders practice anti-fragility. They recognize that stress actually builds strength. They step into discomfort.Number 12, great leaders make bold moves. When things change, great leaders step into that change. Great leaders don't shy away.Great leadership is not something that can't be learned. It is learnable. It's something I learned.
Please rate and review my podcast here: have no chance of performing at a high level if you keep doing what you're doing. You have to change your approach. And that is a subject of today. What do high performers do differently? So three things that high performers do differently. They are intentional, they're productive and they're anti-fragile.Being more intentional is essentially respecting that behavior follows identity, and that we can choose our identities, and that we first start our journey of high performance of reaching our fullest potential by choosing who it is that we want to be.The other thing that high performers do with regard to intentionality is that they don't let their feelings get in the way. High performers know that it's having intention about what they want to do, and having that intention drive action, which will generate the feelings they're after.Second thing that high performers do is that they are productive. They have an evening routine to shut down their day. They have a powerful morning routine. When they start out their next day, they don't start it just doing any old thing. They start it working on what was deemed to be most important the day before. Another big productivity driver for high performers is they're very good at single tasking. Instead of jumping around to a myriad of different things, they focus, 30 minutes, 60 minutes at a time. And that leads to an incredibly high output, much, much higher than jumping around from one thing to the next, throughout the day. Last but not least high performers are anti-fragile. They respect that stress builds strength. They step into discomfort rather than shying away from it. And they have an incredible ability to, when they're knocked down, stand quickly back up.
Please rate and review my podcast here: someone says that they're a perfectionist, what they're really saying is that they are dominated by fear. They think perfectionism is somehow a good thing, but it actually just means they're afraid. The other thing that they're afraid of is, they're afraid of failing. They're afraid that, "If I put my work out there and if it's not perfect, then I'm going to fail. The act of completing something quicker is actually the best way to perfect it. By getting something out the door and in an imperfect state, you can get feedback on that and you can learn how to improve it.The 80-20 Rule simply states that 20% of the effort will yield 80% of the results. Now what does a perfectionist try to do? They try to put in a hundred percent effort to get a hundred percent of the result.By focusing on, "What's the 20% of effort that I could put in that would still yield 80% of the result," it's a perfect way to train yourself out of your perfectionism.Things don't need to be perfect, they need to be good enough. And often what you think is the necessary standard for good enough, is nowhere near what someone actually needs. They need far less than what you're thinking.Another super powerful technique or tool that you can use to overcome perfectionism, is a simple phrase that I use all the time. And it's just, "I choose to start for just five minutes." It helps you take action.Starting takes just a moment, whereas finishing takes an indefinite amount of time.
Please rate and review my podcast here: we're talking about how you can tap into the power of personal responsibility so you can take things up a level in your business and life. You can really up your personal responsibility game and change the results in your life by focusing on just three areas, deciding who you want to be in just three areas, your health, your wealth, and your relationships, and bringing some intentionality into those arenas because those are the three areas which demand our greatest responsibility in life. The second thing that you can do which follows on from the first is a concept that I call champion proofs. Each and every day, I pick what's the one thing that I could be doing which, if done, proves that I'm stepping into the champion version of me.Number three thing that I recommend you do to really tap into the power of personal responsibility and get your act together is become a single tasker. The average person is losing 13 weeks a year jumping around from task to task to task rather than staying with things long enough to actually get them done.Number four thing that you can do to get your act together is turn pro. Make the decision to show up as a professional, not an amateur. An amateur thinks that feeling generates action. Professional flips that around. They know that action generates feeling.Number five, the game isn’t about avoiding the knockdowns. The game is how quickly you can stand back up. If you really want to get your act together, stop worrying about the knockdowns.
Please rate and review my podcast here: is something that grips us all. It's something that holds us all back.If you've learned to be in a fearful state, you can unlearn that state. You can get yourself into a position to get around those fears and you know how to handle them so that they're not handling you.And today that's what we're going to be talking about. So five things that can help you overcome any fears that you have. The number one thing that you can do to help overcome fear begins in the mind. It's all about mindset. And specifically about you becoming comfortable stepping outside of your comfort zone. The number two thing that you can do to help overcome fear is to think about similar experiences. If you can remember back to similar experiences, this helps you overcome fear by giving you evidence that you're capable of doing something like this.Number three: enlist support. Reach out to friends, family, colleagues, anybody that you can ask for advice who's been through the experience that perhaps you're afraid of.The number four thing that you can do to help overcome fear is publicly commit. Once you make a commitment to others, then it propels you, and necessity forces you to move forward, to step into that fear. And the number five way that I've used most often to help me overcome fear is just to get into the habit of taking a bold action. On a daily basis, ask yourself, "What's one bold action that I can take today? Because if you get into that habit, that rhythm of taking bold action every single day, you will become more courageous and less fearful.
Please rate and review my podcast here: you achieve all the things that you want to achieve in your life, or whether you don't will be strongly linked to your ability to stick to the habits that you know are doing you well. This is about how you can introduce what are called triggers to increase your ability to stick to your habits. All habits break down into a 3 part habit loop. And it basically starts with a trigger or you think of this as like the event that happens right before the behavior or the habit. So you have something that triggers a habit and then you perform whatever that behavior is. And then there's an aspect of it called the reward, which is why you do the habit because you're seeking some kind of reward. So with this in mind, we can design triggers. We can design events right before the habit that we'd like to be doing. We can design events, things that will happen, such that they remind us to do this new habit.
Please rate and review my podcast here: reason you procrastinate is not what you think. You think it's something about you, as if you're broken but it's far easier and simpler to fix than that.Out of all the stuff that I did with regard to improving my own procrastination tendencies, these were the three that delivered the biggest bang for the buck and I'm pretty confident they're going to do the same for you.So the number one, most powerful thing that I learned behind the reason why I was procrastinating was simply how I was talking to myself. The moment you say I have to do something, or I should do something. I have to finish something. It just conjures up resistance. When you say that you are choosing to do something, you're putting yourself in control, you're taking agency of the situation. The second thing that contributed to my procrastination is not scheduling in my week things to look forward to. Knowing that I had something to look forward to, I found myself less likely to procrastinate because I knew that there was a light at the end of the tunnel. The last thing I did to conquer my procrastination, to transform from a procrastinator to a producer, is all around timesheeting your day. I developed a hyper-awareness on where my time was going.

Who wants to be working on something that doesn't inspire them, right?Number two, to help you stay focused is to create time in your schedule for whatever it is that you'd like to be focusing on.Number three thing that you can do is, decide the day before what you want to be focusing on. If you decide those things the day before, you're able to start your day in a much more focused state, because you know what you're going to be doing and when you're going to be doing it.Number four, you should get plenty of sleep. Studies clearly show that if you don't have the recommended eight hours of sleep, your ability to stay focused, tremendously diminishes.Number five to help you stay focused: start your day with some exercise. When you spike your energy at the start of the day, it helps keep your energy higher throughout the day.The number six technique that I use to help with focus is called centering, or you can refer to it as meditation. Whatever works for you to get you into a more relaxed state. Because when you're relaxed you will have the ability to stay focused for longer periods of time.Number seven technique that I use to help stay focused is to start my day creatively rather than reactively. I encourage you to start your day, at least for that first hour doing something creative. The eighth thing that you can do to help improve your ability to stay focused, is to take frequent breaks. When groups are put next to each other and one group has no break time at all, and the other group has frequent breaks throughout the day, the group with frequent breaks throughout the day, even though they're working less total time, they actually have a higher output than the group that didn't have breaks.

Well, there's some secrets to happiness that we can all learn.Number one thing that you can do, I do this on a daily basis, is start your day engineered for happiness. And I do this with a simple phrase, I start my day saying, "Today is going to be a great day." It immediately puts a smile on my face, puts me in a positive mood. Number two: A good happiness secret is to schedule guilt free leisure or hobby time in your week, time for yourself, time doing things that you know will make you happy. Make sure you're scheduling that guilt-free kind of free time in your week, and you'll generate a lot more happiness in your days. Number three secret to generate more happiness is to think about your energy generators versus energy drainers. What are the people, places and activities in your life that give you energy versus drain you of energy?Number four thing that you can be doing to generate more happiness in your life is to look after your health. Without our health, we're nothing. And if we actually invest in our health, it generates more happiness in our lives. And number five, and this is perhaps the most important of all. To generate more happiness in your life, choose to be happy. And I know that might sound simplistic, but it really is a choice at the end of the day. No matter what happens to you, you can still choose to be upset or happy.
