On today’s show I’m really excited to be talking to inspirational screenwriter, author and podcaster Katy Napoleon Hill. Katy is based in London, UK and writes transformational stories of freedom, responsibility and personal potential.
Katy’s recent books Hey Little Missy and The Missing Halo have been published and distributed by Amazon, and she’s written 7 screenplays to date. Katy grew up around film stars. Her aunt was a personal friend of the late Elizabeth Taylor, lived in the Ritz hotel, and designed Elizabeth’s first wedding dress.
Katy attended the prestigious Oxfordshire boarding school Carmel College, and was inspired to become a screenwriter by amongst others, former Carmellis such as Roland Joffe, director of the Killing Fields and The Mission.
Katy is a genuine authentic storyteller, creating commercial fiction with a deeply human message and a soul, and she specialises in the action, comedy, drama and romance genres.
Katy has extensive media experience in television, radio and film with TCC The Childrens Channel, the BBC, and Spectrum 558 International Radio and has also worked on a number of commercial projects with Universal Studio’s merchandising & licensing division and she supports the work of a number of charities including Cancer Research, Mind, The Trevor Project and the International Red Cross and Red Crescent.
Her latest storytelling project is a brand new podcast called the Success Journeys, featuring interviews with people who’ve lived through the grit, endurance and determination that’s required to reached the pinnacle of success in their lives, and the guests she features on the podcast are aptly summed up by the tagline for the show, stories of freedom, responsibility and personal potential.
