We all have stories. In this podast, we aim to showcase ordinary people driven by pivotal moments to do extraordinary things. From grassroots activism, serving others, building alliances and leadership. I hope to uncover the complexities of identity and life experiences that have inspired change in some amazing individuals. We want to have conversations and open dialogue so that we may know and be inspired by each others journeys.

Dr. Saba Maroof is a Child, Adolescent and Adult Psychiatrist who sees patients of all ages in the Metro Detroit area. She is a second generation Muslim American of Indian and Pakistani heritage and attended an International School when her familymoved to the Middle East during her formative years. Her multicultural upbringing informs her work with patients and in teaching. She discusses issues suchas acculturation, bullying in minority students and spirituality in mental health with psychiatry residents training in Detroit. She has been an active in her local community in organizing lectures, workshops and seminars on a wide array of topics such as women in leadership,mental health awareness, and parenting. She is married to her amazing husband of 15 years and has four children, ages 10, 8, 5 and 2.
