I loved this show but it's becoming way too SJW.
One of my favorite weekly (now semiweekly!) podcasts. Joyful, sincere, and loving towards a broad range of topics and media. I've been listening for over six years and I never miss an episode. <3
A great group of hosts and guests make this podcast about the latest in pop culture one of my faves. Their conversations are fun, fast-paced, and diverse. Sometimes they agree, often they disagree, but they always have fun. Sometimes you can feel a little "left out" if you've not watched the show or seen the movie.
One of my favorites. Strikes a good balance between being thoughtful and analytic while still entertaining.
The only pop culture podcast you need!
Great podcast about pop culture with wonderful recommendations not just of the mainstream but also great niche and diverse books, bands, films and tv shows. The hosts are all wicked smart and great at holding up the sociopolitical mirror to why we love and hate certain things about pop culture. I like it when they analyse stuff and tell us what they think, popular opinion be damned. What sometimes gets on my nerves is how very woke they are. This can descend into self-parody and is somewhat disappointingly mainstream. I'd love if they questioned woke-ness itself a bit more and did some of their own research, particularly into debunked mainstream feminist talking points. Thankfully, most of the woke stuff is reasonable, like support of BLM, LGBTQ and asking for more POC actors, women directors and so on.
Always fun, and tightly produced. The earnest joy they take in great art always transmits.
