Erica Lester, Mother and Rapid Transformation Coach talks to Irene about her journey which began with the realisation she had created a great life on the outside but was miserable on the inside.

Now she is passionate about working on the ‘internal game’ with others helping them to understand their many layers and transform their lives.

Irene and Erica discuss the journey of transformation and how being intentional and living your life with purpose impacts positively on everyone’s lives.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

  • The process is not always pretty so being committed to your starting point is vital.
  • I had a lovely life but was miserable, I have completed a long journey to find and live a life that was as good on the inside as it looked on the outside.
  • It's transformational  to take time every day as see what feelings you experience, get to know  yourself
  • Emotions,  traumas and past experiences are stored in our physical body as we move through life.
  • Relieving the physical tension from your body can help to break building emotional tension
  • Teenagers are amazing people, growing into who they will be
  • All we are really doing is holding space for them to find themselves and become the person they already are.
  • Recognise they are not going anywhere you are still their parent. It’s just a different stage in life.
  • You have to be a consistent person in their lives, so they come back to you
  • We have skewed perceptions of ourselves and a mentor can show you what they see.
  • The reflection helps you to bring balance to who you really are.
  • Your mentor must be someone you can build a rapport with and take advice from.
  • Live life on purpose - You must make a decision in every moment, as often as you can, about what you are doing or experiencing be intentional about the type of life you want to live and what you want to leave behind when you leave the planet.
  • Getting connected to who you are can help clarify your vision and what it is your business is here to do in the world, what lights you up?
  • We think that business is outside of us but it’s really about being passionate and doing what you love.
  • If you don’t have joy in your business you will not be able to sustain it or drive forward.
  • In the teenage years, grounding can be important to help individuals relax and begin to spend time for themselves.
  • Moving from being invisible to visible was the realisation that if I wanted to help people I would have to move forward and be visible.
  • The concept of being visible is about letting people see you for who you really are and that it may be messy and it's ok to not be perfect.
