Ray, a struggling musician in Los Angeles, realizes one day he hasn't slept in a month. Broke, jobless, and without healthcare, he begins recording his day to day activities in hopes that he can discover the reason for his insomnia. While recording on the bus, Ray blacks out, and when he awakens and checks his recorder, it reveals his life may be in danger.
